   Yes I would try to tell him my opinion and what I thought was good for the country and listen to his viewpoint and hopefully negotiate a plan that would work.

   I would attempt to work with him, but our view points are so different that it would not work out. I would not change my belief systems or other standards that I have for him or anyone else.

   I do not believe there is any "working with this man" unless you are just willing to do his bidding on what he wants.  His display of arrogance pretty much sends the message that he does not want advice from anyone.  His actions in the oil spill of ignoring the discussions with BP management shows his inability to discuss a matter intelligently.  This is a man on a mission who has little time or interest in being distracted by issues related to the welfare of the people or the security of our country.  There is one focus here...get this country in as much trouble as possible financially so that the alternatives to fixing it are limited.  Once you control the horses head, the rest of the body follows instructions.  Given the current set of circumstances, he and I are way too far apart on the actions thus far employed to ever work together on anything except dismantling what has been done since 2007 when democratic control took over the Congress completely.  Since that time we have done nothing but drive the country into financial ruin and Obama has magnified that many times over by allowing the government to grow by a factor of 2% in just two short years.  WB

   Obama said Republicans had driven the economy into a ditch and then stood by and criticized while Democrats pulled it out. The Dems are more responsible for the "car being in the ditch" in the first place. (Barney Frank's and Chris Dodd's involvement in the Freddy Mac and Fanny Mae screw up for example).
   
   Obama said, “we can’t have special interests sitting shotgun." He originally said special interests would not be allowed in his White House but they're their more than ever.
   
   He also said, "We gotta have middle class families up in front. We don’t mind the Republicans joining us. They can come for the ride, but they gotta sit in back.” Was this a racist statement?
   
   Obama deserves nothing more than the open contempt of the American people and told to sit down and shut up until he can be voted out in 2012.

   It depends on your priorities. If the main goal is to keep your seat, than obstructionism is probably the way to go. During bad times, opposing the president is a good political strategy. Unfortunately, it does not accomplish much other than help win elections.

   It would make since for any conservative to work with President Obama because we need viewpoints of all when it comes to governing our country.  The conservatives may be able to shed some light on why a particular issue should be considered.  By the same token, President Obama may be able to shed some light on his position.  This country needs to present a united front to the rest of the world and stop putting our President down and begin to help the American people.  For these reasons I would work with president no matter who he or she was.
