People underestimate the stress that most of us live under these days. Financial woes can easily disarm a marriage and thinking about not having a roof over your head is not conducive with romantic feelings of love. Relationships of course vary in quality dependant on how commited and flexible the parties are, but it is always financial problems that test a relationship. Our penchant for wealth and ownership plays a big part in the decision of people to go into relationships and, as you would expect, when things go wrong, they pull the plug. This of course was never a strong relationship and it doesn't take much to turn it into a hate and blame-fest. If we spent half the time we spend on acruing wealth on our relationships, then this question would never had been asked.
