Why should Assad be dethroned?

According to the media freedom doesn't exist in Syria thus the military intervention and help from Qatar and Saudi Arabia (shouldered by the U.S.). Why to dethrone Assad whereas Qatar and Saudi Arabia have been ruled by the sames families for years and are dictatorships? Why are Qatar and Saudi Arabia dispensed of dethronement?

Obviously Assad is the wrong 'family', the correct dictator and oppressor will be the one that pays dues to the dollar and not try to sell his oil in other currencies where the dollar is not involved.  The gang warfare that the west proclaims as 'liberation' is just changing one thug for another and destabilising the country so that it relies on American arms and protection rather than buy its arms from more eastward.

Might be interesting if Syria's customers stand up and directly confront the competition for the resources that lay under the ground there.  Would be more useful if everyone just stopped poking in their noses, and their weapons, and let the country go back to the relatively civilised place it was before.

Nice to see that "rational, critical thinkers" are not extinct!
