According to a report done by Kids Count, child poverty in the United States has increased 16% from the period of 2005-2010. The report also stated that the percentage of children with parents who lack secure employment has risen 22%. Yes, this report is quite dismal. What are your thoughts on this?
I am hopeful that things will improve. It is a shame that so many young people are growing up with limited resources which in turn leads to limited exposure to new things and opportunity for improvement. I think if we as a nation focus on improving the conditions of those in poverty, we will greatly improve the future for the entire country. C.
