What would YOU want to say to your aging parent before it is too late?
My mother had a health scare a few years back and since then I never hold back on telling her how much I love her and appreciate everything she has done in my life-time. We are opposite in character but we compliment each other so well.
I make an effort to talk to her every day even if it's just to say hello and see her a couple of times a week. We also plan dinners together so my kids can enjoy time with her and my step-dad and play lots of dominos, their favorite game.
It was very difficult for me since there was a language barrier between me and my bio father but just having that 'reunion' between us, did a lot for both of us, I think anyways as for my other parents, well ... nothing I can really do when it takes two to have a relationship

My sisters and brothers have left me with all the responsibilities of caring for my aging parent. Any suggestions on how I can get them involved?
