Does it signify anything 52significant that of all the nations, some trouble spots, some more than friendly and some not so friendly, some requiring urgent and pressing attention that President Obama should zero in on the not-very-prominent nation of Burma economy-wise, military-wise and all the other wises?
He granted the concession of calling the country Myanmar, the official name, for the first time. Is it meant to be condescending? Or is it an indication that the US is ready to cozy up to Burma and to encroach upon China's backyard for all the practical purposes?
In general, is China being given notice that the veil is going to be lifted?
