Was there ever any real doubt that they were there OR that they would be used? Given the WMD fiasco in Iraq I can certainly understand why we didn't move much earlier, but this should not come as a surprise.
I do find the comment from Sen. Bill Nelson to be both funny and sad at the same time.
"We cannot be absolutely sure about the extent to which Assad's forces have used chemical weapons, although we know they have them,"
What's the message he's really saying? That it takes 16 (or some other predetermine number) of uses before we act? That it doesn't matter how many times it's used he'll say the same thing? He did say that we should stay out of Syria - is that to be the perpetual excuse? That we don't know how many times it will be used?
Sorry for hijacking the thread, I just find our politicians so pathetic.

The real test will be when that line is crossed. Will the White House continue to be bullied by the ideals of those that would love to see us fall in line with the rest of the world? Will we stand up for what is right...

You righties could have helped end the war in Iraq but you chose instead to vote Bush, the war criminal, to a second term. But now we find out that curveball lied, and is proud of it. And we find out that the CIA knew...
