Why is there a culture in America that cares about one man's affair so much so that they are willing to subvert and end his career?
That would be the military culture and they are sticklers when it comes to character or in this case a lack of character.
Why is there a culture anywhere that cares so little about one man's ability to lie to, cheat on and deceive a person he pledged a lifelong commitment to, before God and/or country, that they would trust that same man with the lives of our troops, our citizens and secrets that could endanger us? I would feel this way with anyone, but certainly we should hold our leaders to at least this high of standard. Nearly everyone is repentant when caught or exposed. Saying your sorry when there is no escape from the truth is hardly a sign of integrity. This man served us with a distinguished career, for which I am respectful and grateful. Losing our trust, is however, on him.
