Although there has been more acceptance of LGBT children, teens, and young people in postmodern American society, they are still subject to discriminationary acts which includes harassment, bullying, and mobbing.  Many who are bullied oftentimes cannot turn to teachers and administration as many of the latter have innate prejudices against the LGBT community.  Some are afraid to turn to their parents lest they be ejected and disowned by their parents.  Yes, there are many parents who refuse to acknowledge and support their LGBT children.  Many of these children are disowned by their parents and ejected from the parental home, oftentimes being throwaways and homeless.

Many LGBT children, teens, and young people feel a sense of alienation and nonacceptance by others. In the military, LGBT young people have been subjected to bullying or worse.  This egregious behavior against our LGBT children, teens, and young people must cease and cease immediately. These children, teens, and young people are a precious and contributing part of our communities and societies.   Let's discuss this issue.

It's disgraceful and it's a real indictment of the religious right and the consequences of their discriminatory actions. Tragically the suicide rate for LGBT teens is twice that of heterosexual teens because of this persecution.

The most disgraceful form of abuse of GLBT kids:  Claims that harassing and aliening are not problems to be solved, but constitutionally-protected freedom of religious speech.
