Probably the last politically convicted politician we had left.

I don't have a lot more to say at the moment.

Five questions asked of the powerful by Tony Benn-

1   What power have you got?
2   Where did you get it from?
3   In whose interest do you exercise it?
4   To whom are you accountable?
5   How can we get rid of you?

I'm sure that will chime with many who don't share his political persuasion.

He was a one-off, but he wouldn't have wanted anyone hero-worshipping him. Better he's remembered for what he was, a political thinker.

Indeed Alan, to hero worship him would be a travesty.
Remember him for what he was, the last of the conviction politicians.

He seemed to be a great man. It is interesting to see that he claimed that Europe was dominated by Germany, what appears to be still true. The only difference is the insidious US shadow hovering.
