The Direction of America. Can WE Progress or NOT????

  1. Kathryn L Hill profile image85

Perhaps there is no going forward. Perhaps the wall has been reached. Technology, diet, spirituality, education. It seems nothing will help us. Is it possible we are hindered by our very DNA! Or perhaps technology itself hinders spiritual evolution. Can we evolve? Will we become more spiritual / disciplined and less materialistic / lazy?

I have a question for wrenchBiscuit, in particular: If the original People of this land had been left intact and on their course, would THEY be spiritually farther along?
Perhaps they would have developed more compassion, more intuition, more empathy and more wisdom without technology. Or maybe not, because after all, they too are only human.

People must start having power & ownership of themselves.  They must learn to be socioeconomically independent & impart that to their children.  This is the 21st century & the old socioeconomic paradigms are fading into oblivion.  Job/career security is becoming passe.  20th educational requirements & prerequisites are becoming irrelevant.  In order to be at the entry level professional career level, one must have AT THE MINIMUM a Master's Degree, preferably in a STEM speciality-science, technology, engineering, & mathematics.  Liberal Arts, Humanities, Studies, & soft science degrees aren't going to cut it anymore.  The best one can expect out of such degrees is a Mcjob i.e. a job that doesn't require a college degree.

Now & tomorrow, one has to create jobs & a brand name to be relevant.  One has to think outside the box.  One must be more than computer savvy if one wants to get a foot into the middle class door.  One also had better know the hustling game & have connections if one wants to succeed, particularly if h/she has a degree in the liberal arts, humanities, studies, & soft sciences.  The future will belong to the highly educated solidly middle, upper middle, & upper classes.  Those who are in the lower, working, & lower middle class will become the new poor en masse.  Also, the latter will be permanently relegated to socioeconomic poverty because their jobs will be automated &/or deemed obsolete.  Jobs will belong to the solidly middle, upper middle, & upper classes whose jobs will be more advanced & specialized.

Won't they be indoctrinated into particular ways of thinking while attaining those master's degrees?  Is there something good about high taxes? about dehumanizing people by making them work for the good of all instead of themselves? Is there something good about becoming a drone in a society of bee-like creatures who will actually only be working for the good of the top echelon?

Kathryn, we have evolved into its all about the money. Social, economic and race are connected to what we will and won't pay to right it. This is the result of unbridled capitalism and our love affair with ourselves rather than the whole.

We are told that education is the avenue out of urban blight yet we defund the very basic of educational necessities whereby the inner city schools system graduate students who are functionally illiterate and can only do simple math if they are lucky. The same goes for the middle class classrooms where students coming out of high school need to take two year remedial courses just to begin a degree in their chosen field. The military is a very real choice for these kids as the skills necessary for higher jobs have educational requirements beyond their financial abilities. They have to risk their lives in order to better their situation. What a wonderful thought. This hits all socioeconomic levels regardless of race.

The money is the reason why we as a people will begin to see the decline as the wealth is shoveled to the top creating permanent schisms and barriers.

        Yes, we can ...
remember that although we operate within cities and states, we are part of a national system. We can willingly follow certain principles and standards with that understanding. But not in a socialistic way. In a patriotic way. The parties can see how they benefit and balance each other and can compromise for the benefit of the system. The economy needs to percolate and we need the willingness to contribute to it by aiming to benefit others as ourselves, freely, without compulsion, and this can only be done through free market capitalism within the established boundaries and guidelines. All of us can contribute to the American system or loose it. Vote out those in office who use it for their own gain.

Humanity has seemed to have been caught up in this cycle of growth and evolvement, and then tragic collapse and catastrophe for its entire history.

The rise of the Egyptians, or whatever civilization before them you want to credit for building the Pyramids... the rise and fall of the Roman Empire... this/today is by far the most we have ever achieved as a species, and yet as a species we seem as un-united and un-organized as a society/culture/people as any that has come before.

It wasn't so long ago, 50 years, a half century, the Country was united... looked to the stars and went to the moon... felt a purpose and unity as a people and a nation.  We are nothing like that now as a nation, the ties that bind us as a culture a coming apart at the seems, and the world seems primed to move on past the Age of America.

I missed those days a half century ago and remain disappointed that the promise that was to found in space exploration was never realized. I thought then that by this time we would have lunar bases with manned landings upon the surface of Mars being right around the corner.

1968-1969 was not a time where we were united, what about "Vietnam", SDS, Weathermen, political assassinations, race riots, etc. The unity that you are talking about existed around the time of Pearl Harbor and remained so only because of grievances, a boiling cauldron lying beneath the suceptibly tranquil surface, having been effectively suppressed for a short time.  Like I said, the idea of "good old days" is relative. It depends upon your point of reference.

I remember the good old days when most had saving accounts, no or little debt, closer family ties, and most had homes. Today basic cost of living is more than 10 times greater. When most problems like cost of basic living can be gracefully efficient, most people are happier.

By the way  , I was watching a water pollution  documentary on shale oil and gas production  in Canada  the other day and thought of you !, The river and environment above   Fort MacMurrey    the oil  waste fields and  ponds   are polluting the  river in a  HUGE way and dwindling the fresh water  of the entire Mackenzie  river watershed to the arctic  . SOME  Canadians seem to have a "better than though" attitude about America  . And yet  lack the  environmental   focus that seems hypocritically  driven.   I could go on about uranium mines , asbestos mines ,  and  depleted fishing grounds , or  hydro - electrical producing flooding in Quebec !

Why is it we never hear much about the Canadian  governments  inclusivity in  energy company ,world pollution ,  arctic pollution ,total  destruction of Canadian natural resources ?

Or ,Is it only America that is under the media microscope  for leftist dissention ?

Ft. McMurray is so bad you light a flame from the water taps. The town caught on fire and burned down 20% of the buildings. It gives off more Carbon immisions than all cars in Canada. North America is the fastest pollution producer because we have 46℅ of the world's energy.

Israel Zionist own America and they use the Bible prophecy to control Christains into actions scripted. They will be very dangerous as we back them into a corners, there is no where on earth they can hide.

My big concern is their control of the military and nuclear weapons. Politicians won't be able to fight themselves out of a paper bag. Meaning paper dollars will be like toilet paper.

We do seem to be headed toward a new way of life. What that new way will be is unknown. I actually think we will rise to the occasion. People are very dynamic and resilient. They love survival and they love personal power. What they do not love so much is self-discipline and self-mastery. Self-control and discipline through acknowledging Nature as our our task master will be the new way ... even if kicking and screaming all the way ... according to my assessment of modern society.
For instance. There are many products (energy drink powders) to help people achieve optimum muscle power and strength. But these products are bad for the kidneys and adrenal glands as they contain chemicals and sugar. There is much for us to learn as far as acquiring natural strength and energy and prevent premature aging and death through food induced diabetes and heart disease ...  not to mention mental instability through pharmaceuticals.

I just recently overheard someone say it is important to have a high school reunion every year because so many people they know die each year. sad

"Christians" aren't saviors of the world. The Creator calls on "HIS" people to humble  themselves, pray, seek His face and turn from their wicked ways..." Then the rest is easy and simple and fast : The Creator YAHWEH  will answer by forgiveness and healing the land.

"… humble  themselves, pray, seek His face and turn from their wicked ways…"

        Can you elucidate?

        what face?
        what wicked ways?
what prompts humility in the human soul?
        what should we pray for?

If you could answer these things , it would be most helpful.

        1. Michael-Milec profile image60
Michael-Milecposted 5 months ago in reply to this

Learning from the history 'repentance' brings respite. A famos experience of 'God's- people' , those who knew him and walk in integrity of his revealed will - suddenly went astray. On second Cronicles seven fourteen is based my point :"Seeking God's face" - means going back to he Creator and turn away from the abominable lifestyle, discontinue immediately; (repentance  is simple turnaround, stop doing evil and start doing good)- " wicked ways"- shall I list all immorality  ruling the streets, cities (homes, schools, churches...?!) A human soul- intelect is prompting all this by choice, so can every single person freely choose not to cheat, to lie, to steal, to kill ... to not provide for own family (?!)
Well, to answer what should we  pray for ?! - my suggestion would be first of all to establish  relationship with "Our Father in heaven..." And that is the starting point: To acknowledge His sovereign rule -God-the Father answers the prayers of the contrite heart...

Have even denied it myself for five years because my love for my daughter blinds me to stay. All I know for sure is I will die if I stay. Then I will be no extra hope for my daughter to excape too.

America  isn't going anywhere .   The entire problem in America today  is interpretation ,   we are all too tied to our sources of media  .   If we base our  lives and opinions solely upon  what we hear , see and interpret from media we would bury our heads in the sand and wither away slowly .    But good always triumphs  ,especially in America or because of America .   The ingenuity , drive and  accomplishments of the American people is resoundingly  positive.

Like killing to stop killing or using violent to stop Violence's or capital punishment is just hypocritical too. Authoritarian are worst because they kill the public much greater numbers than the public kills the public. Then they call it policing the world. They steal by taxing and licencing more of your money than you pay for food and rent.

Now that the public is starting the attack too late, yet they are on the run. They tell them jail or Fema camps and offer them a micro clip implant or no benefits at all. Since homeless out number Governments public servants, guess who is next? Over the age of 16 there are 37% of Americans out of work, this 4.7 unemployment rate is a horrible lie. Next ,don't plan on collecting old age pension.

I know a place in Bolivia the year round temperature is between 78f to 50f. The light is no less than 10-14 each day. Perfect for solar energy and growing all kinds of food year round. My early pension is above average wage in Bolivia and selling my 2 eco villages off to build a bigger and better one. In the most intense wildlife and extremely rich environments in the world. Wow, you are very close with  your description to the book of all Wisdom conclusion:
"Therefore, anyone who knows what is right but fails to do it is guilty of sin,” or
knowledge without practice is imputed to a man as great and presumptuous sin. A "sin" is conclusive word for " missing   mark." Though not at all as "religious" conotation , a person can "miss' to make full stop on red traffic light- then pays the price...

        "… paying the price."

Is it so hard to be proactive in life?
        Apparently, yes.

        Why I wonder?

For instance schools are failing miserably otherwise there would not be such addiction problems with the youth.
And yet there is so much in life to learn and be fascinated with. In America, we have so much knowledge about astronomy, biology, science and mathematics and mechanics. We have so much to express in art and writing. And History can be quite fascinating. But what do many kids end up wasting their lives on?
A blind effort to find bliss. Bliss they lost somewhere along the line.

This loss has to be dealt with in America on a realistic level.

Never seen a sin city as big as LA. Not many things work in moderations. When the dollar collapse there, for all the guns, sex and  depression pills that go in to short supply. A violent insane asylum will araise and bum fights for food will be everywhere. The step next happening now is the homeless placed into Fema camps, to make way for dictated unemployed new bums to come.

Like crutches of religions and legal drugs to disguise the long term pain. Much like bars in Las Vegas to wash the sins away. With record number of churches and pet parties and funeral parlor to excape the pain, that should have been confronted long before. Why slow down the advancement of humans and nature with over ego world of over authorthies religion and politics.

Do not be afraid to die for heaven may not be, or be a better place than here and now. Gamble on healthy things for a good time instead because health and what you can forget like horrible ancient times trails and tribulations has more to do for happiness than anything else.

Talking about football is a distraction away from talking about uncomfortable sex. Healthy sex is important as food and sleep. It's illegal for prostitutions in LA yet porn industry is bigger than Hollywood.

Do you see the lack of moderation and why there are many conflicting crutches needed.?

When the dollar collapses in LA and guns, sex and depression pills are in short supply, a violent insane asylum will arise and the homeless will fight for food. The next step will be to sweep the homeless into Fema camps, to make way for the next wave of homeless, (created by the conditions being laid down by the upper echelon.)

Crutches of religion and legal drugs disguise long term pain. Much like bars in Las Vegas wash away sins. There are record numbers attending churches and pet parties. And then there is always the funeral parlor to escape pain, (pain that should have been confronted long before.)

Do not be afraid to die as heaven may not exist and there may not be a better place than here and now. Gamble on healthy things for a good time instead of immoderate use of substances and sex, because health and what you can forget, like horrible ancient times, trials and tribulations have more to do with happiness than anything else.

These are valid points, in my opinion!

But what do you really know of LA?
What you might be witnessing are the actors, musicians and those who are computer savy living large.
The average Californian is a very hard working, industrious person. In my opinion, people, especially in So Cal, way over-work and they teach their kids to do the same.
They trick their kids into studying that which will never truly benefit them ... and why? I am not sure. Fear I think. They know if anyone takes ONE misstep they will fall off the wire. It is the nature of this society which the people themselves have built.
Compare our lives here to the the original Asian immigrant People 's lives. They enjoyed life and the beauty of their natural surroundings after gathering acorns, hunting and fishing. They knew how to avoid polluting streams and over-fishing and killing game.

We, on the other hand, have polluted the land and sea, over-fished and over-gamed. How can we enjoy it? We have created poisons and genetically modified our food for the sake of profit. We have created waste and are still creating waste. Who can swim in the Pacific ocean without worrying about strange chemicals dissolving their suits and hair?
We care more about our houses that stay put, that we can never take down and move. Permanent structures that hold germs and Radon gases and cause disease. We cannot clear out when the germs build and the poisons start to seep.

Sorry but the original Asian immigrant People had it made compared to us. We do need a reboot. It has come to a strangling by the throats. And the kids are suffering with no joy of life. Who has created this?
Not the elites. We did. And we can rebuild by slowing down and looking at life in new ways.
With greater respect for nature and each other.
In my opinion, nature holds the key. We must reach out and take it.

Communicate through action: Such as: Demand school vouchers. Create neighborhood home schools utilizing now available accredited internet programs until school vouchers are allowed. Parents / Teachers / Students are too tyrannized by state control. Grow your own vegetable gardens / neighborhood gardens: Store Prices are ridiculously high. Stop buying homes until prices come down. Stop allowing non-citizens to buy them.  House prices are way too high. No more flipping houses, especially by foreign investors. Reduce electricity use by installing solar power if utility bills go up ... as they are here.  Stop going to / paying to see crappy Hollywood movies.
We people need to come out of our shells and talk to each other. Make some kind of an effort. We do not need to eradicate our way of life. Just cut back, modify and be more demanding of the people we elect. And we need to elect people who will not tax us to death. Like the liberals would have happen in a heart-beat.
If we cannot modify in a concerted way, we do ourselves in. And for some reason this type of peaceful, civilized revolution is hard for humanity to pull off at this (or any?) point in time!!!! Maybe it's against human nature! We do not wish to comprehend the waterfall at the end of the river and take action to turn the boat around even though we are all on it. It is human nature to think every man for himself, … but thinking about the whole can also be in one's best interest ... in some cases. Not all.

          Water supply
"The city receives its drinking water from three water systems: El Alto, Achachiucala and Pampahasi. La Paz shares the first and largest of these systems with its sister city El Alto. All three systems are fed by glaciers and rivers in the Cordillera mountain range. 20-28 % of its water is fed by glaciers, the remainder coming from rainfall and snowmelt.

The glaciers recede as a result of climate change, initially increasing water availability during the dry season, but ultimately threatening a substantial decrease in dry season run-off when they completely disappear. A small glacier, the Chacaltaya near El Alto, already disappeared in 2008. The El Alto system receives its water from the Tuni Dam and two water channels. These channels divert water that flows from the Zongo Glacier on the slopes of Huayna Potosi and from Condoriri North of El Alto. The 2.9 km long Zongo glacier retreats at a rate of about 18 meters per year. The Tuni and Condoriri glaciers have lost 39% of their area between 1983 and 2006. According to a study by the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI), the El Alto system is the least resilient against the impact of climate change among the three systems. The study says that reducing water distribution losses is the most effective short-term strategy to deal with water scarcity. New water sources further to the North in the Cordillera include the Khara Kota and Taypicacha, but they are expensive to develop and their water supply is also affected by glacier melt."

There are now 762 gangs operating in Bolivia, according to a new report, suggesting a rising domestic criminal presence in the key coca-producing and drug transit nation.
According to a study by the National Citizen Security Observatory (ONSC), the number of gangs in Bolivia has risen nine percent in two years -- from 700 in 2011 to 762 this year, reported La Razon. The majority are concentrated in La Paz (261), Santa Cruz (169), and Cochabamba (106), with over 25,000 members throughout the country. Of these gangs, 60 percent are involved in robbery and assault, 86 percent use knives to intimidate victims, and 11 percent use guns.
                  SEE ALSO: Coverage of Bolivia
Interior Minister Carlos Romero told La Razon that the upward trend is "alarming because the number of members is growing and the age at which they join is decreasing." Romero said children as young as 12 are now joining gangs, and are recruited in school, whereas in the past members were usually between 15 and 17 years of age.
A 2012 report found that Bolivian gangs averaged 25 members each and were often involved in local drug trafficking as well as other violent activities."

Sorry ,......... there is no nation on earth  , although there are people  on earth  elsewhere  who know but won't say why ,   ..............that America is the last great place . !  They sneak quietly across our borders at night - they buy there way in by the EB-5  program , they silently spend their  $  hard earned dollars to become one - American .   But all the USA haters , take faith !

If we are not headed to recovering our super power status or becoming peacefully content what could we be headed for?
One worst case scenario is the one Castlepaloma keeps mentioning: Fema Camps set up by the NWO guys who just really want to own the whole world. (So Silly). That seems far fetched to me. I do not think it will happen any time soon. It's more likely that other countries will try to take advantage of our weakness or aggressively stop our intrusions.

Meanwhile we need to be helping the kids while we still can. They were brought to earth by us. We allowed all the sperm and egg connections. We owe it to the next generations to set them on some sort of realistic course. What that course is, is the question. If they go whatever way they damn well please, well… that is another worst case scenario …

George Washington had more than a dream. He was visited by an "angel" who predicted the Civil War, WW I and II and told him that a third world war would take place on our soil. The angel explained we would battle against the united forces of Russia and China come out victorious.  It is our destiny to hang onto this country. I believe this is true because of the strength of goodness of the majority of people in this country. Goodness is on the uprise as we spiritually evolve. We are on an upswing as far as spiritual advancement. At this point, we are at the lower end of higher ages which will manifest in the future as higher and higher souls incarnate and assist mankind.

    Take it or leave it.

That is the most confident statement I've seen on forums    AND it is the truth .America has a huge amount of goodness and inclusiveness in the better parts of humanity .  The naysayers  say all they can to promote narcissistic ,self-dome  and speak to the agenda's of envious "others ",    Our Forefathers were brilliant   , something truly lacking in  political accounting today ,   today pseudo  intellectuals  delight themselves with  fantasy in  knowledge ,

Our leaders today are ivy league  blow outs who could do nothing else productive for a living ,they wouldn't have made it in the private  sector,  they would have sank deeply into unproductivity while sitting in their personal libraries spending their inheritance .   So they had to enter government service .    Rather than the forefathers  devotion to public service for the good of all ,today  they are entering because that's all they have for monetary opportunity .

The Clintons are the perfect example of this elitism !  Enriching themselves incredibly at the  cost to the little people they "speak " for .   How long will the American Voters   suffer from this  incredible naiveté ?

Rock and Roll got started when David threw the rock and rolled the Giant.

This USA Giant is so big with reaching so far, he will fall even harder than any other horrible Gaint before him. Sure American people will make a come back and in a more positive way. First after all the great abuses to come and all the hit on the head lessons. Then when they finally wake up from being hipotized for decades. They will find that money will not be the most important focus in life.

I think Winston Churchill misunderstood America when he said, “You can depend upon the Americans to do the right thing. But only after they have exhausted every other possibility.” (submitted by Rhamson elsewhere.)

The underlying force of most Americans is to do the right thing in a powerful way. It more fun that way and we know it. Its called "cutting to the chase."  Get that education / job, buy that big house so your wife / kids will be happy. Buy that big SUV to safely drive your kids to all their talent building activities. Keep your career so you and your husband will have a secure retirement.

However, we have too much trust. We buy products made in China, we let foreign investors buy our land and over seas factories produce our goods. We allow the Fed to get away with murder over foreign oil. We let the president get away with stuff, like shutting down gas and coal production because it seems so humanitarian/ environmentally friendly at the time … like creating programs to bail people out of poverty only to create dependancy.

The next generation may be called The Homelanders. Let them focus on our country / way of life which includes family structure, education and freedom of market within legal boundaries protecting all from the injustices of monopolies and corporatism. Perhaps we can focus more on our own sources of energy. Perhaps we can bring back factories and production in the name of jobs for Americans in a spirit of patriotism.

I think you outlined my point perfectly with regards to Churchill's quote.

We are doing everything we can to support our consumerism economy. But we got it wrong by allowing the corporate elite to cut our wages out of the equation. So now we work twice as hard working in one or two or even three jobs to keep buying the things we used to make here. We bought a trickle down farce for the last 30 years and are only now realizing our blunder. We have succumbed to the chicken and egg theory. What came first the chicken (jobs) or the egg (low cost products)? We are stuck in that conundrum. The only question is can we do the right thing to reverse it?

These are the wrong things we have done allowing corporations and the political elite run the country. Maybe there is more we can allow them to do before we do the right thing for our country. That is what I referring to.

Kathryn, if you mean by "the Homelanders" (can't find the word in  dictionary)- those people who wouldn't mind to have their hands dirthy of soil planting, cultivating their piece of land creating very  own food, tending their own small herd of critters, and buyers only by real funds (no plastic card, credits ) - then you are talking of the future this world is facing (soon?). Consider  for a moment, for how long can survive a "souveregn" country as is USA today, where a ruling band is robbing working class by imposing new taxes and awarding none-working work-force who refuse to support themselves and their familis by honest hard work? A collapse is very mild expression to realize what the future brings to those who depend on "government" support in socialistic utopia i.e. "I am entilterd to my priviledges and right.' - attitude. . .

Interesting comparison "real God vs pretend God."
Better choice would be a TRUE God ( Unfortunate English translation.) God the ruler of the universe is  God the Creator  of everything, vs. gods created by man. Inconvenience of not using the originally recorded name of the revealed creator who introduced his eternal name "I AM THAT I AM" (translated) from "Eheyeh asher Eheyeh"= I am the  one who always has been  and always will be. It is  equivalent to Jehovah ,YHWEH  based on Hebrew verb “hahah"-to exist answering mankind’s most basic question:IS there  a god? This Creator God actually proves His existence well beyond any reasonable doubt- using prophecy. He is the only God accurately reporting in our past what would happen in our future , putting in  writings  centuries prior to heir fulfillment.  those of us who trust His testimonies have direct access to him in family like relationship on personal basis without any  need  to prove this spiritual reality to those who put themselves in position to reject possibility to know the truth.

"Today, the biggest companies have upwards of 100 lobbyists representing them, allowing them to be everywhere, all the time. For every dollar spent on lobbying by labor unions and public-interest groups together, large corporations and their associations now spend $34. Of the 100 organizations that spend the most on lobbying, 95 consistently represent business.

The self-reinforcing quality of corporate lobbying has increasingly come to overwhelm every other potentially countervailing force."

"Lobbying is free speech, protected by the First Amendment. And lobbyists serve a clear purpose: members of Congress today rely heavily on the information they provide. With multiple, complicated issues coming at them quickly, they and their staffs simply cannot cover every matter they need to understand. Lobbyists can be invaluable in alerting members to the impact of an arcane bit of legislative language. They help sharpen the debate on Capitol Hill. And they highlight the many different points of view around a given issue.
Yet most Americans are uneasy about lobbyists’ role. They do not think we have come to grips with the sheer amounts of money and influence-seeking that daily wash over Capitol Hill, into members’ campaign treasuries, and through the regulatory agencies."

well, at least we could get some kind of education on the workings of our govt. and the players. If I were a teacher of History or Political Science, I would create this board game by involving my students. Hasn't this game been invented yet? Maybe so.

        Here is one:
"Landslide is the name of two board games about the U.S. presidential elections, where players compete to become the president of the United States.
        1971 game
The first board game titled Landslide was published by Parker Brothers in 1971. Up to four players aim to obtain as many electoral votes as they can. The players use their popular votes (used much like money in other games) to bid for states, and whoever has the most electoral votes at the end of the game is the winner. The game follows the 1970 census, and correctly represents the electoral college apportionment for each state. For example: New York is apportioned 41 electoral votes, representing its 39 congressmen and two senators. California at that time had 45 electoral votes with 43 congressmen and two senators, etc."

From Economist's View:  The U.S. economy performs better under Democratic presidents.  Why?

From Scholar's Strategy Network:  Under Democratic presidents, minorities make economic gains--and so do whites

From The New York Times:  Partisan growth gaps

"The arithmetic on partisan differences is actually stunning. Last year the economists Alan Blinder and Mark Watson circulated a paper comparing economic performance under Democratic and Republican presidents since 1947. Under Democrats, the economy grew, on average, 4.35 percent per year; under Republicans, only 2.54 percent. Over the whole period, the economy was in recession for 49 quarters; Democrats held the White House during only eight of those quarters."

TRUE God = God, the ruler of the universe and Creator of everything
               vs.
    gods created by man.

He is the one who has always been and always will be. It is equivalent to Jehovah ,YHWEH  based on Hebrew verb “hahah"-to exist answering mankind’s most basic question: IS there a God?

This Creator God actually proves His existence well beyond any reasonable doubt using prophecy.
He is the only God accurately reporting in the past what would happen in the future. He put it into writing centuries prior to their fulfillment.

Those of us who trust His testimonies have direct access to Him on a personal level without any need to prove Him to anyone who rejects the possibility of knowing Him.

No one can argue such faith. Some people can read the Bible and sense the reality held in it's words. Others can't.

Some do not believe we are souls operating a body and brain / nervous system. How can anyone not comprehend this? ... is my question!

The "seat" of the soul is at the location of the spiritual third eye which is located just above and in between the eyebrows. When you close your eyes, thats where YOU are. Does this make sense to you Michael-Milec?

With open eyes, the same results. You are so right  "Some people can read the Bible and sense the reality held in it's words. Others can't." In this age of  having, possessing the Bible EVERYONE can read, outlaid and hear the word of The Spirit and the Truth and have life of " sonship " the nature of God, spiritual - family- relationship with the Creator. It is written for everybody to know " to those who did receive him he gave authority to become children of God, to those who believe in him. They were born, no from human stock, nor  from physical desire, nor from the will of man, but from God."
Now, when this happen , as this happen, our spirit man becomes alive in the light of of him who shines through us. We become aware that "we are " the real Michael is spirit, soul and lives in the body, the never ending life.
Meanwhile, let me just point out that this connection with Creator's Spirit- the God almighty is not necessary possible by reading the Book. In my life I have been presented with many spiritually alive children of the Father who never own the Bible ( One wasn't even printed in my native language until mid nineteenhundrteds) yet there were people knowing Him personally because he has revealed himself to all those who loved him and obeyed his Word simply because it is the most beautiful experience living earthly life on this earth...

What is happening in America today is a lack of respect and understanding of The US Constitution, pure and simple. We would be more concerned when political men and women behave the way they do if we respected and understood The Constitution. We the People are letting our elected officials get away with way too much. This negligence on our parts allows them them to get away with way too much causing our governmental system and The Constitution to look bad.

Thanks for your Input, MM. I appreciate it. Without faith in Our Creator we look for happiness in futile ways ignoring what is in our best interest as set forth by Him.

"We the People are letting our elected officials get away with way too much."

I can't agree with this more. "WE" are the problem. The elected officials are not there to represent us but for those who pay for their election. They understand that enough money buys their way into their position and those without it soon fall by the wayside. The Hillary/Bernie battle was a prime example of it. How many resources were expended for Bernie to get his small donor system to work? Hillary had big money lead the way with very little effort on her part other than selling her soul to them.

We The People are pawns in this exercise of the elite to continue their dominion over us. We The People deserve what we get!

    Dear Cp,
I am not arguing with you, just sharing MY way of thinking with the following explanation according to the way I see it:

If God is not an imaginary being but a spiritual force and we are part of that force we are already on a spiritual side. When we use the power of self-guided-will in the direction God has revealed in the Bible we go toward heaven here and after here.

    1. Castlepaloma profile image24
Castlepalomaposted 4 months ago in reply to this

That depends on how you define what is Spiritual.

I would define spiritual as the 99℅ unknown here on earth. Until spiritual is manifest into something physical or manifest into our energy ego self.

The Christian heaven is only through the light and the way of Jesus or the Pope.

      1. Kathryn L Hill profile image85
Kathryn L Hillposted 4 months ago in reply to this

99% unknown (because of the senses.)
              vs
1 % known as we percieve it, (through the third eye of intuition,) manifesting within and without us.

All religions teach the same thing but they know it not. Nor do they have ears to hear. Heaven is universally found through the light and way of Christ consciousness. Its already manifesting. We just have to realize, (through direct perception) that pure consciousness / light is the essence of our beings and source of consciousness. Also it is beyond intellectual grasping which is why a certain amount of faith is required in the beginning. Then intuition / will power / love and God's own energy, will pull us into His realm of existence which is Bliss or pure causal Spirit, (Heaven.)

Boundaries are needed so that we are on the path toward enlightenment. We can do all the indulgent foolhardy things which result in negative consequences, but why? Live, find joy! Follow the path of the straight and narrow. I'm sure Michael-Milec can provide some Bible verses regarding the nature of this path.

For my path priority in the top 5 feeling of a meaning to an end are....
          Love
          Health
          Freedom
          Security
          Fun
From experience I find Authoritiian system like Politics and Religion steal away from the individual work ethics and dreams of their Universe growth just to hand it over to the few elistist who abuse their powers. They steal most of our money and boss us around all day like slaves.

Nobody owns me, and I know these ancient cultures are holding back the advancement of our human species, the natural environment and the animal kingdom. Religion over concerns of sex and war lead them to abuse nature.

Abusive Authoritiian system no longer work better than smaller system of simple rules and individual human rights. The strongman like Trump or one world religion or new world order will never work when it gose against the grain of mother nature. I promise these Authoritiian abusive and Religious wars Dogma with be run over by people's karma. Then curiosity grows and horrible concept of hell will die and rise  from the ashes of world war 3.

Now to survive world war 3 at Americans ground zero. Too many countries are mad as hell at America and Israel, don't want to be in their path of wrath.

America used to be a Judea / Christian nation. We believed in God and celebrated religious holy days.
(Holy: dedicated or consecrated to God or a religious purpose; sacred.) In schools students took two weeks for Jesus' birthday and one week for His death and resurrection. Both holiday breaks gave pause for reflection and rejuvenation and helped strengthen individuals, families and communities by encouraging them to focus on the totality of life, both physical and metaphysical. Jews celebrated God's love for them through their elaborate rituals. Their religion helped strengthen their resolve to follow God's ways for a prosperous abundant life and after-life.

Now the focus is becoming more and more only physical. Don't dare have faith. Don't dare consider that which is not concrete and physical. and we have winter break and spring break. Nothing more. Its sad.

What joy the artists of the Renaissance must have had painting / illustrating angels, putti, Mary, Joseph and Jesus and the saints and prophets of the Bible. What peace and reverence there was, (and still is,) in Catholic churches where the traditions and rituals of the ages continue to be passed down. What joy the Christian churches imparted, (and still impart,) to their congregations through singing and preaching, reminding them to follow their Captain who steers them safely into the distant horizon where the peace of God sets them free.

Hell is not a place we go after death when we do bad things. Hell is what we bring to ourselves here on earth when we do bad things.

But, yes our karma, good and bad, follows us.

Every true religion contains truth. And every religion kindles faith and expands awareness. Only God can lead us to true and everlasting happiness. Can we lead ourselves to happiness?
Not if we only rely on our five sense, the physical world and our ego-selves.
Heaven is within, beyond the five senses.

It would help America if we could go forward with reverence for that which created us. After all, we did not create ourselves.

those references to Hell are for the purpose of imparting a sense of urgency:  "up ahead is a cliff! No! NO! don't run that direction!!!!"  The admonitions are for our own good for the sake of peace and happiness now and after now. Many don't realize they will suffer with various consequences. Lives are long. They are so easy to mess up.

The astral world can be a beautiful peaceful state or a a guilt-ridden restless agitated state. "In my Father's house are many mansions." What could this mean? Whatever it actually means, it indicates we will be somewhere after this world. And consciousness somehow continues on.

"Fear of Satan, fear of God, over-fear of eternal torture" translates to: Fear of the consequences of actions performed in ignorance.

If we know that killing our brother will haunt us for the rest of our days and that we will reap the same treatment in this or one of our next lifetimes, we will think twice before killing our wretched blankety-blank brother. By forgiving our brother, instead, we reap the benefit of self-control and patience and in so doing, set this example for others.

But I agree. Instead of saying all this some of the authors of the Bible talked over the top about hell, fire, brimstone and damnation. They tried to scare people in any way they could to get them to be proactive, I guess.

"Observe how the American Government has caused the world to fear the use of nuclear weapons since its the one that has used them."
Isn't this fear good in this case???? For instance: Korea will not drop a nuclear bomb on us, since they know we will retaliate by dropping one back.

If every word is absolute truth, please do not make false statement about words like fear, hate, punishments forever and so on. For already the worst thing about the Bible is all the wrong translations.

Fear is opposite of love, if America/Israel Zionist new world order owned  all or controlled all weapons on earth.
