    What has caused America's dumbness?
Can you imagine John Adams visiting this nation, hearing talk radio and watching today's news?

    dumb 2
stupid, unintelligent, ignorant, dense, brainless, mindless, foolish, slow, dull, simple, empty-headed, stunned, vacuous, vapid, idiotic, half-baked, imbecilic, bovine; thick, dim, moronic, dopey, dozy, thickheaded, fat-headed, birdbrained, pea-brained; daft.

I think we all know the answer and I know its not even interesting enough to discuss.

Mostly, I post this for anyone who wants to vent.

So today I sub for preschool. We feed them lunch. Here is it is:
    Such brilliance:
The kids are given a choice of a huge piece of cheese or pepperoni pizza or cheese sandwich or yogurt and either chocolate or plain milk. Now, for four year olds I am wondering how they can eat such a large piece of pizza when suddenly, thrown on their plates from all directions by two aides: more food: A generous helping of fresh salad, carrots and apple slices.

By the time the plates are full, fifteen minutes have gone by and now I am instructed to get them to clean up. Most of this food is untouched except for the main course which they are happily munching on.
They are not even finished when the aides start comnding them to clean up! I responded, "No! They just started eating!"
They insisted, "We have to stick to the program!"
With full authority, I proclaimed, "Five more minutes!" And the children continued happily eating their pizza slices and cheese sandwiches.

I walked into the kitchen and asked the cafeteria workers why they did not get more time to eat. They shrugged their shoulders.

Then, shortly, the aides could wait no longer and ordered the students to clean up.

I observed the children throwing away ALL their untouched fresh food. SO MUCH, It would feed at least fifty needy people. But, it A L L went into the garbage.

I asked the cafeteria workers about this dismal waste. They explained: Michele Obama ordered all students to have fresh food from the cafeteria. It is served whether they want it or not and any extras are thrown away. So many extra packages of carrots, apples and fresh whole apple end up in the trash bins EVERY DAY.

What stupidity to over-provide servings of food and over-serve food that will not be eaten.
Do they not realize that kids don't eat fresh foods at school?
There are no forks to eat the salad?
Their stomachs are too small to eat all the food put on their styrofoam trays?
There is not enough time to chew and adequately masticate these raw foods?
    NO?
    Stupid!
And who is paying for all this food that is wasted and thrown away at every public school every day??
    You know.

Don't get me started, I have a pet peeve about people who waste food.

Is it intelligent to teach kids to just throw away their food like that????
    I ask.

Kathryn , This is exactly how EVERYTHING works  when  we invite the federal government to manage our lives !   That is why our fore-fathers  designed our constitution to LIMIT government in our lives . So True !      Look at anything the government dictates , health care ,   education ,  food growth ,   our energy  crisis ,  crime , even some manufacturing  ............

Because he has a sense of what we actually need: A percolating economy from within!
    Not from without!

    WITHIN:
    A) Give US business back its freedom to market goods and services so that we the people can benefit each other in a dynamic way as we have always been able to do in the past, (especially under  Ronald Reagan, who was a REFORMED democrat.

    B) Keep jobs and production / manufacturing in America.

    C) Allow US production of natural resources / internal sources of energy, including oil, gas and coal.

    D) Maintain and confer with the US Military for the protection of US citizens.

    E) Focus on safeguarding our jobs from those who would take them.

    F) Focus on safeguarding our citizens from those who will jeopardize our tranquility.

    jeopardize verb
threaten, endanger, imperil, risk, put at risk, put in danger/jeopardy; hazard, stake; leave vulnerable; compromise, be a danger to, pose a threat to. ANTONYMS safeguard.

So how and who is taking away U.S businesses right to market goods and services?

It is one thing to talk about keeping jobs and productive capacity in America, how is Trump going to do that without impossible implementation of tarrifs and starting a trade war? Trump as the promoter of free market capitalism has not shown anybody how he going to do that within the current system.

Nobody is restricting the development of domestic energy sources, but protection of the environment is to be considered in the process.

What do you want from the military, World War III? The only sensible thing that I give Trump credit for is the idea that allies should carrying a larger share of the cost burdens when it comes to their defense.

Safeguarding AMERICAN jobs is not done by building wall, but making it prohibitely expenses for employers who get caught hiring the undocumented. Trump and his rich buddies won't do that because they would have to dispense with all their domestic help.

Dec. 8th 1993, Bill Clinton signed into law NAFTA.
        History:  http://www.history.com/this-day-in-hist … d-into-law

During its planning stages, NAFTA was heavily criticized by Reform Party presidential candidate Ross Perot, who argued that if NAFTA was passed, Americans would hear a “giant sucking sound” of American companies fleeing the United States for Mexico, where employees would work for less pay and without benefits. The pact, which took effect on January 1, 1994, created the world’s largest free-trade zone.

What makes sense to you or I matters not , as long as they have plenty of  fruits and veggies to throw away !

Did you ever think "kindness" would be a bad word?
Love without Logic is never a good thing.
Kindness must be tempered with ….
      tough love????
      Is TOUGH LOVE the answer?

It's part of the answer , the other parts might be , personal accountability ,  familial accountability -meaning Fathers go back home ,   it might  mean  if you can't afford having and properly feeding children- stop breeding ,  it would also conclude with ,  America has  less hungry children than most countries , it also has then more waste than most countries.

When I was a kid taking brown bag home made , home baked lunches to school and we would complain about the edge of the home made bread being hard - my mother had a favorite expression - "Its a lot harder where there aint none "

Maybe some people just need to be a little hungrier ?

My mom probably handed me a nickel. But I did have to hang onto it and not loose it. Today, kids just pick up their cafeteria lunches, which they only eat a small portion of and then in the bins it all goes.
No one anywhere to pick up the unopened packages of ...
              oh well....

    WITHOUT
    A) Implementation of government mandated programs which rob the taxpayers through taxes and FINES and mismanage the funds the People entrust them with.

    B) believing in Open Borders for a One World govt.

    C. Urging Soft socialism not comprehending that it will lead to leading to hard socialism

    D. Revealing hatred for the country's religious and cultural customs.

    E. Overtax the rich to feed the poor even though the wealthy contribute mightily to the economy and provide jobs and industry.

    F) Having no faith in individual self-sufficiency.

    G. Fostering dependence and fatherless households for women and their multiple-father children through over-access to welfare programs and food stamps.

In my view, democrats do not see the effects of their emotionally based desires to help the downtrodden from without, but there are CONSEQUENCES ... which they overlook!

    Emotion vs Reason:

    Emotion says,
ENABLE those who find themselves without survival skills, pregnant, uneducated, and self-indulgent in many human ways: over-drinking, over-toking, over-medicating, over-eating,
over-sexually inter coursing without husband or prophylactic protection.
    PROVIDE through government intervention.

    Reason says,
TEACH the people how to think, reason and work.
EDUCATE for jobs, survival, and self-reliance.
FREEDOM (with clear boundaries and laws to protect the freedom) of market for the people.

We will learn and be on the same page. It may take awhile. A long while. Luckily for those of us who were enjoying the summertime, winter is coming and we don't have to partake. (Winter will probably kill us off if we don't have enough funds stored.) We can just wait for another summer, some other lifetime. It was fun while it lasted.
We'll be back when things are way better.

We need to feel a sense of urgency and act on it.
Things have to change. Will Hilarity bring about the necessary change?
    or Trumpet?

My bet still goes to Mr. Trump.
Sadly, Hillary is very savvy, (thirty years of politicking will do that.) She knows just what to say and how to come across. She is very convincing and appeals to the average Joe who doesn't think about consequences of bad policy. Nor do they recognize bad policy when they hear it.

Where has she been  for the thirty years that we have paid her salary ?

We can all continue to  vote  for thirty more years of the same , OR we can vote for the possibility of the promise of change , we are after all , used to doing that !
