The People Have The Power

    Do we not have the power? Or does the government own us? Are we ever going to let the government own us?
    NO!
    So why all the violence and hatred?
    I really think the violence and hatred is manufactured and put on display to incite others and cause them to loose their minds and common sense.

    We the American People need to find reality and tend to it.
    Those who are pretending to illusion and delusion through hatred, violence and law breaking actions must be dealt with.

    After all, the law is on the side of the people.

      "The Statue of Liberty Enlightening the World" was a gift of friendship from the people of France to the United States and is recognized as a universal symbol of freedom and democracy. The Statue of Liberty was dedicated on October 28, 1886.  It was designated as a National Monument in 1924.  Employees of the National Park Service have been caring for the colossal copper statue since 1933."

      The Reality is that America stands for Liberty.

      We can all get behind this precept. Lets not hate each other. Lets recognize what is happening ... together.

      It is Liberty that is Enlightening the World.

      Not tyranny,
      Not socialism,
      Not high taxes ... for America.

      Not Globalism for the world, but independence for every individual country.

      The executive branch of the government is currently defying court orders for them to stop enforcing parts of Trumps Muslim ban. When a government refuses to follow the rule of law, why should citizens not do the same? Is the government above the law?

        "The executive branch of the government is currently defying court orders for them to stop enforcing parts of Trumps Muslim ban."

        The court orders are from the judicial branch so where do they get the jurisdiction to tell the executive what to do?

        PS The ban is temporary. The media fails to inform us of this fact.

            The executive branch is checked by the judicial branch of course. My (very) bad.
            Hamilton in Federalist Paper 70:
            Just understand:  "Energy in the Executive is a leading character in the definition of good government. It is essential to the protection of the community against foreign attacks; it is not less essential to the steady administration of the laws; to the protection of property against those irregular and high-handed combinations which sometimes interrupt the ordinary course of justice; to the security of liberty against the enterprises and assaults of ambition, of faction, and of anarchy. Every man the least conversant in Roman story, knows how often that republic was obliged to take refuge in the absolute power of a single man, under the formidable title of Dictator, as well against the intrigues of ambitious individuals who aspired to the tyranny, and the seditions of whole classes of the community whose conduct threatened the existence of all government, as against the invasions of external enemies who menaced the conquest and destruction of Rome.

            There can be no need, however, to multiply arguments or examples on this head. A feeble Executive implies a feeble execution of the government. A feeble execution is but another phrase for a bad execution; and a government ill executed, whatever it may be in theory, must be, in practice, a bad government.

            Taking it for granted, therefore, that all men of sense will agree in the necessity of an energetic Executive, it will only remain to inquire, what are the ingredients which constitute this energy? How far can they be combined with those other ingredients which constitute safety in the republican sense? And how far does this combination characterize the plan which has been reported by the convention?

            The ingredients which constitute energy in the Executive are, first, unity; secondly, duration; thirdly, an adequate provision for its support; fourthly, competent powers.

            The ingredients which constitute safety in the republican sense are, first, a due dependence on the people, secondly, a due responsibility."

          I have posted plenty of it here. The Koch brothers alone have a larger political staff than the Republican National Committee -- 107 offices nationwide with more than 1,200 staffers and a budget of $800 million.

          Just go look up the campaign contributions to PACs that support various candidates.

      As I have stated before, people aren't conscious of their own power.  People have been taught by parents, religious figures, & other adult authorities that they have no power.  They were further inculcated in the premise that they aren't important- they are merely average, the common person, the little person who means absolutely nothing.

      They were further taught that the important people were those w/power.  There is a worship of those w/power whether it Is politicians, the highly educated, celebrities, & other noted people.  People tend to follow, even worship those w/such accolades because to them, the latter are so much better & know more than they do.  They contend that it is the more authoritative among us who have the credibility while those who aren't in powerful positions know nothing & hence have no value.

        Yes this is true. Of course, we must all find ways and become brave enough to change this. It starts with each person. I believe no matter what our up-bringing we can discover the strength within us. It takes focus and the will to do so: Thinking will. Not Blind or Un-thinking will.

        Thinkers will wake up the others. There are great thinkers here on HP smile

      President Trump invited Sheriffs from across the country to meet with him at the People's House.  The Sheriffs have never been invited to the WH before, ever.   Something wrong with that?

      They got to go into the Oval Office afterwards to look around.  Well, that's never happened before either.  Anyway it was interesting to listen in on the meeting.
      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NNxBMs8p1QE

      Reportedly, what its like on the border now is like night and day of what it was like before Trump took office.  I don't think the Sheriffs will get tired of winning!   They are encouraged.

        Oh my God!  Maybe I shouldn't have posted that link because this could call for impeachment.  Baited breath.

        At the end of the video the Sheriffs presented the President of the United States in the Oval Office with a GIFT...a sculpture of a Western Sheriff.  It was the first time this NSA sculpture has been presented to someone outside of the Sheriffs office.

        "There's a new Sheriff in town!"

    "As police dispersed the crowd from campus, a remaining group of protesters moved into downtown Berkeley and smashed windows at several local banks.

    ~~~~> No arrests were made throughout the night." yikes!?
    "UC Berkeley said it had prepared security measures following what had happened at Yiannopoulos' previous events. One of his planned speaking engagements at UC Davis was also canceled last month in response to protests.vProtesters shut down Milo Yiannopoulos event at UC Davis.
    'Ultimately, and unfortunately, however, it was impossible to maintain order given the level of threat, disruption and organized violence,' UC Berkeley said in a statement."
    Well, I guess we, (WHOEVER is hosting "right wing" speeches,) better gear up and get law enforcement behind the event.
    RIGHT?!!!???
    Right.
    PS Trump is really dumb if he thinks the university was at fault. Berkley did not facilitate outsiders to infiltrate the peaceful protestors,(students I presume,) and incite violence. In fact President Trump needs to ask the university what can be done to beef up security... As in, contribute MORE money toward this end.
        That's exactly the way most Americans feel about--- mindless ,directionless 19 year old Soros inspired and funded rioters !    It would be one thing if they even knew WHY they were rioting .
          These are the disgruntled students who never found their true purpose in life. They have been robbed of their own joy of life by the pitiful indoctrinations of public school. The are happy to lash out at SOMETHING! They know not what else to lash out at. Our students who did not fit in with the program are ripe for the picking in this political climate. We have a hidden issue not being dealt with yet. It is there, however, and it must be dealt with eventually.
                My left side is all bad?.
                Can I  get an operation and remove and get rid of all the left sides of my being? Like my brain sometimes I think left and sometimes I think right. Sometimes conservative and sometimes liberal.
                    Should I remove my back, it"s not as attractive as my front. Maybe I should call up Trumps wife for advice on plastic surgery. Afterall Trump says the outside is more important than  the inside. Like a Walmart happy face, yet sad in the inside.
    God is, of course, what will strengthen both sides and all people, so your solution is right on.
    But really, do you think True Spirit of Love God would want us to let in terrorists who are intent upon destroying the West? Who worship a false God/Allah and destructive ideologies?
