The use of Chemical weapons in Syria?
We have treaties after treaties that ban chemical weapons...
Yet, when they are used in violation of International laws, the UN is useless.
It is useless because how it is structured. When you have a 5 member security council,
With Russia as one of the member, nothing will be done.
It is time we, as the western democracies, rethink the whole UN and its necessity.
It makes no sense to have an international agency that sit silent in Syria refuge crisis, and genocide in Africa...and numerous other human tragedies.
Our support for the UN has been part of the problem rather than any solutions.
Where are the himan rights groups, amesty international...?
Why don't they support or call for a revamp of the UN?

The UN  should be dissolved  but won't be , a new organization  or perhaps NATO should replace the ineffectiveness of the UN ,  one with only proactive nations that are able and willing to truly lead .  The money's wasted on the UN are incredible irreplaceable to real peace - related political  progress around the world.

Or , simply tale the UN OUT of america . Why does anyone think its here anyway ?  ------   $

You may change your mind about those "proactive" nations when they begin to take action against the US.  Human rights violations, gun control, etc.
