I just finished this book, and it was an amazing read. For Reagan admirers it is an obvious confirmation, but I think it would also be a valuable read for his detractors too.
It is an autobiography, (written with Bob Lindsey), so it is rosy, (what autobiography doesn't paint the best possible picture), and it does glide over many of the negatives of his presidency, but it does show who and what the man behind the name really is. An iconic symbol of America.
It is not a good read if you are looking for secrets or hidden agendas, but it does show the real man behind the public image.

Had a debate with a friend today- he seemed to think the current GOP climate has moved to the right of Reagan. Your thoughts?
