What happens if Trump fires Mueller?

    https://www.lawfareblog.com/if-trump-fi … his-firing

The special counsel can be removed only
    (1) by the Attorney General,
    (2) for “misconduct, dereliction of duty, incapacity, conflict of interest, or for other good cause, including violation of Departmental policies,” and
    (3) in writing, which must include “the specific reason” for special counsel’s termination.

the decision to terminate lies not with Attorney General Jeff Sessions but with Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who is the acting attorney general for purposes of the Russia investigation. So in the first instance, presumably, Trump could order Rosenstein to fire Mueller.  Rosenstein would then have to decide whether he believed the reasons Trump gave were adequate under the regulation. If so, he could carry out the order. If not, and if he refused to do it, Trump could fire him—or he might simply resign in the face of Trump’s order.....

.... after Rosenstein, there are only two other confirmed officials in DOJ: Associate Attorney General Rachel Brand, and Acting Assistant Attorney General for the National Security Division Dana Boente, who was previously confirmed to be the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia.  A tad more on this below.)  If the officers after Brand also resign, then an executive order on DOJ succession recently promulgated by Trump would control. (This barely noticed executive order would potentially assume great significance if Trump fires Mueller.)

so on March 31 the EO was signed

I'm sure Trump can fire anybody he damned well wants ,  is it wise ? No ,
Is the investigation legitimate ? No .
Has any investigation yet turned up any eveidence of anything ? No .
Do the investigations continue and in fact escalate because of new evidence ?. No.
Would Trump  voter support dwindle  if he fired the entire DOJ staff ? No.
Will the B.S . ,P C. obstruction stop if NO evidence is ever found ?No.

While the left drools over yet another  Trump obstruction  investigation , after NOTHING whatsoever being found yet ,  Trump should just facilitate the firing ,  dismissal , or demise of special councils altogether . Bottom line  THIS entire season of obstruction is simply partisan BS ,

Is Trump opposition suffering  from rabies ?
Fire them now ALL NOW Pres.Trump...................

funny thing is, I remember the Repubs refusing for an entire year not to hold any hearing for a USSC judge nominee. Selective memory on the obstruction from the right is for the past 8 years is very revealing.

"there is an emotional symmetry between the conservative reaction to past Democratic presidents and the liberal response to Mr. Trump. Suddenly, left-of-center people get what it’s like to have a president who is the living negation of all they value, a president who makes them ashamed before their children and terrified for their future. Now they’ve learned what it’s like to worry that malevolent foreign conspirators are manipulating American affairs. " - https://www.nytimes.com/2017/04/29/opin … ml?mcubz=0

What a joke , The entire world knows the truth that the American left was actually born hating !  Drooling , frothing , throwing tantrums and bricks at the same time , come on dude , get serious if you want to , BUT quit with the B.S.      WE are at a point where the left in America has regressed and adjusted SO far into the realm of immaturity that there is no where left to travel .
You are about to strip the nut .

You lost , get over it !

If Trump fires Mueller he will increase his problems on this issue ten fold, the vast majority of America will assume him guilty and the chances of eventual impeachment will increase dramatically.

Wrong ,  the people who elected him , those crossing over in support NOW  and those coming from biased pasts in his defense far outnumber your pitiful Hilary closet holdovers , Fake !  Speaking of Fake , nothing on CNN news about the thousands of fake news protesters outside their main offices in Tenn.    ?

      Fire Mueller too Donald !

Gee I wonder why ?  CNN , Criers of No News

Hillary closet holdover? Me? I would overcome my disgust in order to do the Christian thing and put the fire out which was on her were I to find her lying in a ditch ablaze; but I can't say there mightn't be a moment of hesitation.

You need a lot more ahorseback. A Special Counsel, and its investigation are supposed to be non-partisan, and its actions transparent. Would you trust one if it weren't both?

It sounds like you feel only Republican supporters should be appointed to an investigation of a Republican. Is that right?

I would think the addition of 'opposition-type' investigators  would give even more credibility to the investigation. You know, less smell of a cover-up by an all Republican-supporting cast.

Of course there are the inconvenient facts that; he is a Republican, a former successful FBI director appointed by a Republican president, has a solid career of impressive, non-partisan tainted, credentials, and, prior to Pres. Trump's tweets, was applauded by both sides of the aisle as a solid and upright and trustworthy man perfect for the appointment.

So what else do you have that disqualifies him?

You can bet the that the Democrats and folks like me are just waiting for him (Trump) to step out of line. We got the tar and feathers at the ready. So, tell Ahorseback that we would be delighted to see his man get out of line , taking imprudent and ill-advised action.

We could always start with this , Absolutely  O  for any evidence except  a continuation of nothing but false charges , I don't know about you but that alone is worthy  place to start .
An " agenda  of sore election losers"   does not a case make .

"But your honor , we just hate this guy "   has never been a case that would gain any traction  as a prosecution formula in  court's of law .

We've simply reached a point in America where emoting political though has replaced intelligence .

Hey ahorseback, your points are all against having an investigation. He didn't create the investigation. He was just appointed to lead it.

You listed some reasons earlier that didn't pass muster, (or at least you didn't support them), but you stick with the contention that he should be fired. Why do you still think Mueller should be fired?
