I FOUND BY NEWS ITEMS IN TV AND NEWS PAPERS THE INDIAN ECONOMY IS UNDER DOWN FALL DUE THE RUDE POLITICS FOLLOWED BY THE LEADERS IN THE COUNTRY. I OBSERVED THAT THE GOVERNMENT IS FUNCTIONING WELL AND NOT DOING ANY JUSTICE TO COMMON MAN AND NO DEVELOPMENT IS THERE. FURTHER RECENT FLOODS IN ANDHRA PADESH CAUSED HAVAC AND TOTAL LOSS TO LAND SCAPE . NOW THE POOR MAN WHO IS CULTIVAING THE LAND IN NORMAL LIVING ARE TROUBLE , THE ASSSISTANCE BY THE GOVERNMENT IS VERY LESS AND CAUSING HARM TO THEM BY THE ENTERING O POLITICAL LEADERS WHO CONDUCT A BIG SHOW ABOUT THEIR PARTIES I AM NOT AWARE HOW THE COMMON PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT THE GAME PLAYED BY THE GOVERNMENT AND OTHER BIG SHOTS IN POLITICS WILL HELP?. FURTHER THE HELP RENDERED BY THE GENERAL PUBLIC IN THE STATE IS NOT REACHING AND THERE IS CRYING FOR FOOD AND SHELTER. SO I ADVISE THE VOULANTARY ORGNISATIONS WITHOUT POLITICS INTERFERENCE WILL HELP WIHT SERVICE MOTO. INDIVIDUALLY HLP EACH OTHER.

Why is it that most people dislike their Political Leaders?

Everyone hate politicians because most of them are selfish and corrupt. Once they come to power, just do whatever they like.

We should not blame the politician for everything. India has developed rapidly since independence. Now, it can be rated as a global economic power.
Politicians will not go door to door to help poor people, who are free to approach the concerned authority. Most people remain ignorant and know nothing about how to come out of their trauma. We should approach the politician just as he comes to us to gather votes.
Politicians have not brought the Andhra floods and havoc. Sitting in a corner, we should not blame others.

How can we run the government and secure the people without politicians?  Everyone is missing the main reason. There is no qualification for politicians, be it educational, physical, legal, etc. If the laws are made stringent to filter the evils in politics, it will be ok.

For a few erratic politicians, we need not blame politicians as a whole. Great leaders like Mahatma, Nehru, R.Venkatraman, C.Rajagopalachari, K.Kamaraj, etc. were decent politicians. Why not we consider them while analysing politicians?

But, do you think today's politicians have those qualities at least to little extent?

No. I cant find any. Human temptations and opportunities make them like that.

Basically, there is no relationship between politician and the economy. When they enter politics, no one is interested in economy or have an overview about Indian or international economy. When in power, they have to deal with realities. Only if and when qualified, efficient, experienced persons are admitted to the parliament or state assemblies, these can be set right. But it is a false notion that Indian economy is on the edge of downfall. May be, ours is the strongest economy compared to all others.

It is right, we should not blame politicians, who work for the benefit of our country. But in this century how many politicians are there who saves a lot of money as far as they can do and work hard for the benefit of the nation. Not even 10% including most of our cabinet ministers. They just take commission on whatever development process comes. It is said that less than 33% of the actual money allotted is used for the development procedures. Remaining is divided among the people who makes the law and who implement these law.

Now most of the government employees and politicians consider bribe as their right and no on can deny or stop them from taking it. Those who oppose bribery is considered to be wrong people with wrong intention.

No one can measure how much money is taken as bribes. There are certainly some model politicians now also. Mr.Abdul Kalam. His only aim is to make India a superpower.

Next, Dr.Manmohansingh. Without him, there would have no India. In 1991, when Soviet Union disintegrated, our condition was also like that. Mr.Chandrasekar had pledged all gold to run the government. When Narasimha Rao and Manmohansingh came, things were set right within a year. So, there are committed people in the government now also. But we fail to recognise the good people and praise those who open accounts in Swiss banks in the name of flowers.

i find that the question will be more correct if it replaces who with what. many people look at the people to blame for a problem. some people look at the problems to blame for . few people look at the SOLUTIONS.
i have heard many times that India is neither run by democratic people nor politicians nor a foreign hand. India is run by God and God's grace.
India ,on a retrospection on the last 50years , is one of the fastest changing country as well as economy.
now the downfall. besides few upper strata visions of calculations of economy the standard way, we need to see that there are some ingradients peculier to India.

population grows faster than any economic future plan.

a large mass who is uneducated and unaware of the changes India is witnessing.

most people do not love India when it comes to their turn to participate and do something.
1.think about why our railway stations are the most filthiest places in the world.
2.why there are millions of people as income tax payers in the country of 100 crore.
        3. why every multistoried commercial building has to stick posters of God's on the stairs and paste notices of please do not spit here, and i do not want to quote another very common graffiti on the roadside walls.
        4. a lot of talent drains out of the country for a fat salary.
        5. gov't had to make it mandatory for doctors to work in the villages for some time.
just few observations of our society.
