Do you foresee a world government in the near future?

      Nope.

Think about history when you think about this.  The US really hasn't been around all that long in the grand scheme of things, so it really doesn't have the maturity yet to be "at the helm", so to speak.

And really, as fast as the world is changing, there's no government that can rule that many people at once without having disastrous consequences.

But, if you asked about a true global economy, now I can see that happening in the future..

Absolutely no doubt....all we need is to read what the Council of Rome said about how they will create a universal problem in order to unite the sheeple behind a one world government.

Sheeple like three square a day and sports TV with a beer, and anyone who will give them that BACK (for the powers that be will first remove all those little things)will be tolerated.

So we get our chaos first, then when the breakdown is complete, the sheeple will DEMAND order and security..... welcome in NWO, welcome in complete control.

After that if you want to eat, trade, work, travel.... heck if you want to stay free to breath, you'll need to make the pledge of allegiance to the NWO, and take the mark, whatever that is, it may just be accepting the bondage in return for living a while longer, rather than standing your ground and refusing to play by their rules.

Either way you end up dead, just sooner with refusal to play.

          Back to the scorn again....

This lot happens, or starts happening dependent upon your viewpoint, just before His return.

Keep looking towards the East, but wherever you are you won't miss the event, just try to cover it up afterwards.

"Not that I see much difference between the two...... "

          I'm sorry for your myopia.

The NWO began 200 years ago with wonderful intentions.  Who was and is still the New World?  Who has it's nose in every nation's business today?

Try to buy sell or trade (major transactions) without a SS# or tax ID#.
Who has leaders constantly kissing up to them?
I'll bet Bush still has a hickey on his ass from Tony Blair.
Who has leaders that wallow in luxuries and absolute security?

The New World Order has been centered within the U.S. government for years now.

The best way to control people is to make them think they are free.

I think the most recent (and granted it was not the forming of a government body) forming of the European Union is somewhat telling in that, major powers are not ever so apt to give up their powers. When the European Union was formed, Great Britain, certainly one of the super powers, of course opted out.

Americans are not as patriotic nowadays as I think we were a couple of decades ago, but I can tell you one thing for sure, no American would give up his America.

So to summarize, the answer is no. Even if the US were at the helm. No.

The very question you add to your thread means that you probably don't understand what the NWO is all about, because in the NWO, there will be no USA as such. There will be "superstates" like the European Union, controlled by an unelected, totalitarian,  World Govt.

Have you read 1984 by George Orwell? Are you familiar with DoubleThink and NewSpeak?

      WAR IS PEACE
      FREEDOM IS SLAVERY
      IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH

A world with the population under complete control and constant surveillance, spoonfed propaganda via the media, and divided into 3 superstates, fighting a permanent war against in invisible enemy, whom he calls Emmanuel Goldstein. The equivalent today would be . . . now let me think . . any ideas?

    1. qwark profile image60
qwarkposted 7 years ago in reply to this

      Hi Earn:
"Who would agree to it" would not be the concern.
If the population were to be reduced to level that could be managed well, only those who understood the inevitability of extinction, if change was not instituted, would be acceptable and allowed to exist.
The kind of 1 world gov't that would be needed would be one that would be TOTALLY dedicated to survival as a species.
Humans would be selected for their genetic aptitudes.
Genetic engineering would be utilized to guarantee dedication to the goal and to necessary esoteric function.
Belief in supernatural divinities would be crushed and eliminated by education/training. If any displayed an affinity for such beliefs they would either be destoyed or assigned to the gov't for genetic re-programming.
The 1 world gov't would, necessarily, have to be "Machiavellian" in it's efforts to govern and control. Opposition would be immediately and permanently ended.
it is my opinion that a 1 world gov't cannot be created. It's much too late.
Man is headed for a cataclysmic reduction in population and once that has begun and ended. No one can prognosticate the future of all life on this planet.
Evolution will continue, in a slow and tedious movement toward who knows what.,

When the economy is globalized which it pretty much is with the World Bank, the IMF Along with centralized banks all over the world.

The world will be controlled by international bankers.  Being able to provide credit as well as take it away will keep the countries in line.

If a country refuses to participate credit is frozen, food or seed sales stop and the country will be starved into submission.

Military will be given funding as the bankers decide.

Imagine this was 1910 and not 2010, and then ask someone to predict what would happen over the next, say, fifty years.

    Lots of insane predictions, like:

    - the Fall of Czarist Russia and its replacement by a never-before-seen "Communist" government

    - women getting the vote (as if!)

    - almost everyone (in the West) owning a car

    - hugely wide access to radio and telephones

    - two world wars

    - nuclear weapons

    - the fall of the British Empire.

    I could go on.

The point is that trying to predict the future is a pretty hit-and-miss business. As someone wrote somwhere recently, five or six years ago there was no such thing either as Facebook or Youtube... so try predicting things twenty or thirty years from now...

I think the only way to be free is to be self governing based on taking full responsibility of our lives. Instead of expecting a government to take care of us, we should learn to care for ourselves. However, there will be times when we may be unable to do that for ourselves, and if we are of similar mind-set, compassion can help make up the difference.

But as humans, this utopian environment is likely not going to happen. In history, it can only occur for brief periods and then dissolves quickly based on new comers, or youngsters who don't want to live by the hogwash they believe has been perpetrated on them.

So we are pretty much stuck with an "equalizer" to enforce fairness and equality instead of we ourselves being able to live by it. The lesser of the evils, we thought in the US, was capitalism and the free-market system, with a democratic government. But as of late we can see that foundation has all but crumbled completely and we are teetering, ready for collapse.

Still, I say it's all the more reason for us to look inward instead of outward to find the answers we need.

Whether or not we have a World Order Government, our lives will not really get any better until we do the dirty work of reaching inside ourselves and deciding what our values and principles are and living by them, instead of this horrible greed/opportunist/put-each-other-down attitude that seems to prevail now.

The NWO is supposedly the financial institutions. Everything will be to keep those who are rich even more powerful, and those that aren't will basically become slaves. Like I said before though, we'll destroy ourselves or something before this ever comes to light.

    1. sannyasinman profile image61
sannyasinmanposted 7 years ago in reply to this

The NWO want complete control. For example, there will be no cash money at all. Instead, they will insert a chip under your skin with which you will pay for everything. However, this chip is programmable and so if you are a bad boy, or step out of line in any way, they can switch it off. This means you can't buy ANYTHING, even food. How is that for keeping you in line!

And, as we know the chips (RFID chips) are already here and being inserted into humans right now.

    See if this sounds familiar...

Manufacture a universal and immediate threat that people barely understand but can be terrified of, and they'll allow those in power to do whatever they like as long as they commit to dealing with that threat?

The Bush Administration and the Patriot Act?  Nope. I was actually thinking of Chancellor Palpatine in Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith tongue

The only way I can ever see that happening on a world-wide scale would be in the event of an alien invasion. Even then, I highly doubt those "in authority" would be able to agree on anything in time to put up any sort of resistance.

I love the Roddenbery theory that the discovery of intelligent alien life "unites mankind in a way no-one thought possible when they realise they're not alone." but sadly I can't see it happening sad

      Hi alexandria;
Ya can't think in terms of how mankind is contemporarily governed.
Ya gotta think in terms of what is necessary for the human species to survive.
Imagine! Based upon what is happening in terms of "macro" management.
What you speak of is "micro" management and as man currently exists, "micro" management is not functional when referencing the broad scope of "survival."
It's too late tho to consider that there is a possibility a that 1 world gov't could be created and operated successfully.

          Alexandria:
At the moment it can be nothing but a "dream."
Humanity is so fragmented in so many ways, most involved with abject, global ignorance, that with an exploding human population (we'll reach about 9 - 10 billion within 2 generations)mankind cannot gain global control b4 human population is reduced to a level of managability.
Just my opinion. If ya have another, pls share it.

Don't'cha mean we should sublimate that "need" for the kill and replace it with a kinder and more socially responsive programming?...'course that'll take many many tens of thousands of years..eh? :-)

There is already a global government controlled by international financiers.  They lend enough to a country until it defaults on payments.  Then they move in to confiscate the real property.  Lend money on a fractional reserve basis.  Create loans out of air.  Then recoup your interests in material wealth.  Air for gold, good deal.  Every country is indebted to this global monstrosity of world governance.

We are standing on the verge of a global economy, and thus a global government, but you can't really call it a government, it's basically the removal of your sovereignty and being placed in the hands of the global elite who already run this country to begin with. To me this is scary, through my research into this subject I have come to discover that it is very real as well. If the G8 succeed in removing the us dollar and going to whatever monetary system they choose, we will all be in deep shit!

OK, call me a conspiracy nut, but I do see it happening.
After the U.S. has its butt handed to it. I really see that happening, too.
    Hope I'm wrong.

History tells us that countries with plans of world government - just a new name for world domination - usually get their asses kicked. Though it is usually bankrupt countries with no way else to go that try, and the US is drifting in the general direction. But it also takes cash, even the US cannot gear up without the money and most of the opposition can call in their loans to collapse the US economy if it tried to kick off.  Not paying would have the same general effect as its world trade would collapse if its credit is no longer good.

No. I don't see there ever being a world government. Mainly because there are still too many cultures that don't understand each other, and don't wan to understand each other.

Than there are people like the United States who attack other countries based on a humanitarian crisis, when millions of people are living in cardboard boxes in our cities, or starving to death, freezing to death just because they can't afford shelter or food. Why isn't there a country coming to rescue us?

The most disturbing new trend is ethnic fighting, where people in Iraq are killing their own people because they assume they are better than the people they are killing.

How can we have a world order when people in one country can get along?
