   I’d like to see half this effort put in to yelling down the ( ! ) holes in congress for all the crap they’re pulling.

          It's now morning for me and I've read most of your posts.
          So now, let me project some of my "guilty thoughts", as someone would say.
          I read you apologized and was surprised. Why ?
          Because you just spoke off your feelings braving what can be considered for the moment as "politically correct" ?
          I'm sure you do your job as well as you can and your familiarity with misery and suffering build a context that broadens the interpretations that can be made from reading your opening post.
          If you apologize, I too have to.
          I'm always shocked by accounting being done during disaster.

    You truly have to acknowledge the power of the media if someone in NYC doesn't understand what you're saying or trying to say.  If our own major problems are not story dujour then it is all but forgotten; I suppose.

    I don't see the world as "here" or "there", but as humans sharing one planet, so yup, I donated, as I have for other causes in the USA or overseas when the need arises. I hardly watch the news, so I don't get to see the broadcasts repeated all day, it would be overwhelming for me to hear any type of bad news all day long.
