Seems Obama's disinformation campaign worked! Today the socialist democrats are benefiting politically from the passage of the health care bill. Unfortunately, the bill did nothing to address rising costs and what we will see over time once reality sets in is anger over being duped!

According to this article only 2% of health care costs can be attributed to insurance companies and pharma!

"For people to blame drug and insurance company profits for their predicament is just ignorant. People simply do not know what drives costs," said Uwe E. Reinhardt, the James Madison Professor of Political Economy at Princeton University. "What drives prices is the amount of services people are getting, plus the prices doctors and hospitals charge for those services."

The experts actually blame increased demand and increased use of expensive testing as the leading causes for rising health care costs. No sh it!!! Obviously the "Health Care Advisory Board" created by this new law will end up limiting use of these tests in order to keep costs down. We'll all get care, but ONLY the care the government says we need!

Socialism, the equal sharing of misery! Nice work socialist democrats!

Get your facts straight Poppa. What caused the health care problems in the US was this.

A: People could no longer afford health care
B: they went to emergency rooms for free health services because they knew they wouldn't be turned away.
C:They never paid the medical bills
D: The doctors passed the costs onto
E: the next patient because they had agreements as to maximum allowed rates charged to
F: the insurance companies who repeatedly tried to deny claims so that
G: The hospitals had to cut back on everything, including staff, because
H: they were going to go bankrupt and then where would we be.
I: they started turning people away, sending some home who needed surgery and
J: cannot sue unless they die.

I am a case in point. No Lawyer would take the case. I had a crush injury that nearly cost me my leg, because I was worker's comp, so they sent me home.

Sorry Poppa, this has been going on for as long as I have been alive, probably longer.

...and when oh when are people going to see the middle ground in the way they think about things...?

doctors and hospital elites got greedy and were abused by lawsuits

government politicians and the elites that run them abused their powers over financial systems

financial systems and the elites that run them are only interested in their power and lining their own pockets as well

...the people need to attack those who are truly running things by disconnecting themselves from those systems, period... and becoming more self sufficient, and only doing business with other honorably minded, Constitutionally minded people

AND if people can't even agree on what the Constitution means, then we need to debate and deal with that...

I agree. The Equal rights Amendment still hasn't been ratified into law and is still lacking 3 states to get in. Amazing what you can learn here. So how is this new deal becoming a law? The ERA was started in the 1920's.

Having worked directly for one of the Nations largest Health Insurers I know for FACT that premiums are high because people want everything under the sun covered on their plans... then once they have it... they use it!!!

People will go to the Doctor for everything.  People do DEMAND expensive tests.  They feel as if they have insurance so they are going to use it.

Nothing in the Health Care Bill will contain rising health care costs.... nothing!

And for those who want to blame Doctors... you know the people that go to school for a minimum of 22 years + specialist training on top of that and incur enormous debt in the process... you might want to look at your own career.  Most Physicians don't "get out of school" until their mid-30's and it takes a few years out of school before they start making any real money.  It's the mid 40's by the time many are fully out of debt and living the economic lives they sacrificed so much to attain.

These are people that may be making close to $200,000 a year by then on average.  And they earned every penny of it.

Contrast this to Baseball players signing $100 Million contracts, Michelle Obama pulling $300,000 a year for a made up position in a State Run Hospital, Congressmen making nearly what an average doctor makes... and you're demonizing of Doctors is unjust.

Doctors are not the problem, Doctors are the solution.

People do not take care of themselves, people smoke and drink and eat all kinds of junk... get no exercise, then when they break down they want to rush to the Doctor and "get fixed".

The problem is people and the problem is society's inability to prioritize properly.  The problem is the Elitist Wealth which continues to control the money supply forcing everyone into debt for everything they do.  The problem is allocating more than a 4th of our resources to perpetuating War.

The problem is not Doctors.  And this Bill is not about Health Care it's about power and control.
