British politics falling to previously unknown squalid depths?

In a time of economic crisis, when the good of the country should be put to the fore, have our politicians sunk to a new all time low?  Clegg appears to be playing off both sides and has been rewarded by senior Labour figures by being likened to 'every harlot in history' and senor Tories have told Cameron to tell Clegg to 'stuff it'.

Meanwhile, Gordon Brown is squatting in Downing Street and hanging on for dear life - if they let this loser be 'caretaker prime minister' til September, he'll just find some other excuse to stay on.

Very edifying for the British public and world observers when the markets are falling faster than the said harlots underwear and the pound is being pulverised!

Gordon Brown could easily be targeted for the ills of Britain but it is not so simple. However, his stepping down should in deed be a way forward

Indeed it is not so simple, but in this time of crisis all our politicians need to get their snouts out of the trough, and start acting in the interests of the country, instead of looking out for themselves.
