The Mineral mangement service just OKed more offshore drilling. More proof of the world gone crazy ?

It's a shallow-water well. The ban on deep-water drilling is still in effect.
I think the timing of this approval is pretty bad. And on top of it I cannot believe I agree with a San Francisco newspaper.
This shouldn't be a political issue, in my view. It's everyone's "fault" for participating in society the way we do. We all have the ability to change things - we always have - we've just chosen to be complacent and greedy and interested in what's easy, just like the oil companies have, just like the government has, just like the world has.
When we all put our feet down and say no, and actively change things, that's when it'll get better. Until then, it's on all our heads.
