A wild fight at a busy Manhattan diner exploded in gunfire early Saturday, killing one man and sending dozens of customers scurrying to safety. The shots inside Good Stuff Diner on 14th Street, a primary spot for party-goers to hit up once they leave the nearby clubs, rang out just before 5 a.m. Saturday.
Raj Gobal, who was at work across the street at 7-Eleven, described a chaotic scene outside the diner.
"A woman ran in screaming, 'I need the phone, someone's been shot!'" Gobal told the Daily News. "I saw people run out and there was panic outside."
"I heard boom, boom, boom, and then came out into the restaurant and saw everyone running and screaming," said Bruce Angel, who was working in the diner's kitchen.
Corey Scott, 28, was shot three times in the back and twice more in the back of the head, police said. Corey Scott was the man who was charged with killing his neighbor during a robbery in 2004.
