Shocking isn't it? It makes you believe that one side simply wants to silence the other. It's not about civility. It's about shutting down opposition.
it has been plain to me for many years that people just think differently about things and that can rarely change completely. But as a civil and intelligent people we can learn to listen and find common ground.
But as long as people have this notion that they are right and someone else is wrong in their thinking, that ego mania will continue.
Beck did a great show on Jan 13 about media and the notions that gave a real boost to media bias...that there are some people that believe they know better than others and must manipulate them to make things right with the world. check it out...I will post the link shortly

I don't typically watch his show, but this one because of the communication component was interesting...did you ever consider that the notion of a good breakfast being of bacon and eggs came from advertizing...that becomes culture
