Those of you that think like Harry Reid that the Tea Party is gone, think again! I am hoping for a shutdown! The last thing I want to see is the republicans compromising on the amount of cuts. Even the 61 billion the republicans are proposing is too modest in my view. In any case the democrats will pay the price for a shut down and Americans will benefit!

I'm not sure a shut down will benefit Americans, either. The ripple effect will cause a lot more suffering.

Shut downs in CA are causing state employees to pay rent with IOUs. That ripple effect hurts not only landlords and property owners, but all other businesses and consumers.

Better be careful what you're asking for here.

57% prefer it...as long as you cut from that other 43.

I want to see the cuts coming from the top. Have any yet?

Why are we in Libya, again? I could've sworn that Congress was the only branch of government that could declare war.
