I've been reading about the claims that the WH asked a general to lie in order to protect a big contributor. At first, I saw the info on a couple of right-wing blogs, so I really didn't pay much attention to it. Then I read an article about it in the Daily Beast - not exactly a right-wing outlet. It's mentioned on ABC's The View, too. I can't find anything about it on NBC, CBS, MSNBC, CNN, or the NY Times, but I found it on FOX. Does anyone here know anything about it? Is there any credence to it, or is it all smoke?

If this is true, shame on the WH. If it's manufactured, shame on Republicans.
Of course it's true! The question is how much "pressure" was applied and was it really "pressure" or SOP by the OMB to correctly and with one voice relate official policy in his testimony? The general reffered to it as pressure and that's all we have to go on.
