Is America Slipping into A Feudal System?

The Rich as a population are shrinking, the middle class is in danger of vanishing (like the dinosaurs) and the poor grow as a population ... but... there is another group to consider... the homeless... much like serfs of the middle ages, living as they can, dressed in rags, eating whatever, etc.   Is this the foundation of a feudal system?

The rich as a population may be shrinking, but those who are rich are actually becoming richer, whilst the middle and working classes are becoming poorer.  The gap is growing, and will continue to do so.  As the news today suggests that the world is on the verge of a new recession, even before we are out of this one, I do wonder where it will all end.  With the economies failing in one country after another, unemployment rising, and civil unrest spreading, if things are to become a lot worse, I believe we are all in for a bumpy ride.
