A local authority in England takes a child into care under a court order.
The child is fostered.
The child is in intensive care and the doctors want to switch off the life support machine. By law, consent must be given by the local authority acting as parent.
Who would make the decision? The Director? An area manager? Who? Does anyone actually know?
