Across the Internet and even on capital hill, people came together in protest to prevent bills like SOPA and PIPA (internet censorship) from being passed. Obama signed the NDAA into law that gives the federal government authority to appoint military personnel to imprison American citizens without due process or a trial if they are suspected as being a "threat."
