Time and History

    H. L. Mencken once said, "Time is the great legalizer, even in the field of morals. "

What a great summary of people ultimately being unable to escape judgment from their actions.  George Bush authorized torture, and began wars without even trying to pay for them.  History will be an amazingly harsh critic.

You hit that nail right on the head, Sooner! I am curious to see how it's portrayed in the textbooks our kids at school will learn about this history from.

This brings to mind two sayings (1) "History is always written by the victors."  and (2) "Might is always right." Unfortunately, in this day and age, it seems like the victors and might are the ones with the most money. I hope i'm wrong.

I think I hear her in the wings warming up! There are 3 billion Christians, Jews and Muslims, and there are 3 billion Chinese. The four horsemen...let the games begin!wink
