How many of your ancestors recieved financial assistance from Congress in the amount of $100,000.00 in 1912 for their return passage from Mexico and finacial relief? Worth about 2.2 million in 2011. The Romney family did for basically being allowed back in the US from Mexico, after being basically deported for poligamy which was a feloncy, and stripped them of US citizenship. Then later in 1938 Mexico awarded them $2.65 per $100.00 lost do to the Mexican Revolution forcing them back to the US. If that's the case? Which I'd like to know if true or not? The Romney's back then became instant millionaires as a result of Congress voting to award this money.
