What do you think people should know about water issues where they live?

I'm especially interested in how people are thinking about water issues. I work in water conservation, so it's not that I want to know more about water myself, but if I were to develop an educational program for the public, what would you, as a member of the public, want to know most?

        Then I would ask for
How do I determine the water quality, by using simple practical methods?
Are there different kind of drinking water?
What kind would be better for people with a specific health condition?
How much damage/alteration happens when water is bottled within plastic or glass?
What should I do when traveling to places "not well organized" regarding drinking water?
Is river/lake water good for people when it looks clean/clear?
