Illustrious Rick Scott.....the one who's throwing Americans off the voting rolls to stop Obama supporters from voting....seems he pulled a Ross Perot!

“It’s a house of cards. From what we found in our case was Medicare defrauding paid for the acquisitions,” he said.

“They charged the Medicare program interest when they’d buy these other hospitals and that, in many cases, was not legal and that was a major part of our case,” Alderson said.

One of four Columbia/HCA executives convicted in the case was Bob Whiteside. He was later acquitted on appeal and says he still stands by Scott, his former boss.

Whiteside wouldn’t consent to a recorded interview. He says the billing practices didn’t start with Scott, but were adopted from one of the other companies acquired by Columbia.

Whiteside says the illegal activity was widespread within the healthcare industry, but since Columbia/HCA was the largest, the government made an example of it.

Schilling agrees that the fraud didn’t start with Columbia, but says Scott’s profit driven and cut-throat corporate culture encouraged the practice to grow. Schilling says administrators who met profit goals were rewarded with bonuses of 50 percent or more of their base salary.

“They took shortcuts, they did whatever it took to get to it because they were motivated by the money,” Schilling said

"Just back from a trade mission to Spain, Florida Gov. Rick Scott is in the Bahamas today for Attorney General Pam Bondi‘s hush-hush wedding to her long-time beau, Tampa ophthalmologist Greg Henderson.

Scott and his wife, First Lady Ann Scott, are among the guests at Bondi’s Ritz Carlton Grand Cayman affair. Bondi, 45, Florida’s first female attorney general, is divorced.

Bondi, a GOP darling who never ran for office before becoming attorney general in 2011, was a frequent contributor to FoxNews prior to her election and remains a regular guest giving updates about Florida’s lawsuit against President Obama’s administration over the health care law. The Supreme Court is expected to issue a ruling in the case in August."

How sweet.....Filing a lawsuit on Obama...after being involved in medicare fraud....selecting an AG from Fox News, who pushes your line to America.

See, here is a case of free-market, unfettered capitalism where greed and corruption reign. I'm not against capitalism, but it does need it's watchdogs. It's the same old game. With the BP oil spill, they signed off their own safety inspections.  The salmonella egg fiasco, they bought off the inspectors.  The mine that blew up, they paid off the inspectors.

Here is one of the Obama care laws that may have prevented this:

"To keep premiums low insurance companies must justify rate hikes and  provide rebates if they don't spend at least 80% of consumers premiums on care instead of overhead marketing and profits."

In theory, this sounds good, but in practice who is going to enforce this?

Republicans are having a field day with lying, dishonesty, hypocrisy and corruption! It blows my mind that they have so many rabid followers, but something has to be done. We need to get the house, the senate and the presidency back to normal or we are done for. I mean it. We will not be a nation if they keep this up.

This is foolish. Almost all politicians are frauds. They say one thing and do something completely different once elected. lol

It'd be nice if the people running it would!

Can anyone tell me what happened to integrity? What happend to service....customer's always right.....pride in what you do....???

When did it all become for profit? And not just nice profits, but obscene ones?

I worked for Dunkin Donuts once, and talked to a guy who knew the founder....

He said that guy always made sure his customers came first....and if they couldn't pay, he'd serve them anyway.

...now they charge for an xtra plastic cup, and air for your tires....
Price of everything has gone up, quality has gone down.---unless you can afford top dollar.

5 years tops on a washer/dryer. My mom had hers fo 20.

oh well.....here's what I came here for: more dirty R tricks.

    "on May 29, 2012 at 3:16 pm

One week before Wisconsinites vote on whether or not to recall Gov. Scott Walker (R-WI), a conservative group is engaged in dirty tricks that have shut down the Democratic challenger’s campaign phones.

According to multiple reports, independently verified by ThinkProgress, the following spam text message is being blasted out to many Wisconsin cell phones:

    FRM:WI@obamasaliar.com
    SUBJ:Union Puppet
MSG:Tom Barrett is a Union Puppet who will give Union Thugs everything they want. Call & ask why 414-271-8050

The phone number is that of Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett’s campaign headquarters. The influx of calls following this spam text message has shut down phones at Barrett’s campaign, just seven days before Election Day and right as get-out-the-vote efforts are ramping up."

Isn't citizens united enough to get their way? Do they have to resort to this crap?

Remember last time, or 2000...they told people the polls were closed...or moved.....dirty pool.

If your washing machine only lasts 5 years, you are buying crap. I have only had two in my entire lifetime. The first one lasted twenty five years.

So you worked for Bill, that is the difference in working for a Mom and Pop shop as compared to a corperation like Dunkin Brands Inc. You lose the one on one service, it is not as personal. That is not the owners fault, it is the employees fault

      1. lovemychris profile image76
lovemychrisposted 11 years agoin reply to this

Kenmore is crap? Not supposed to be.

Dunkin's not personal? Bulloney. They know your order and have it ready by the time you get to the counter!

and I see...when things go bad in a business, it's the employees fault..but when things are good...why pay the boss a bonus!

        1. American View profile image61
American Viewposted 11 years agoin reply to this

Yes Kenmore is crap. Most of it is made abroad and sold under the Kenmore name. They do have some products made in the US.

I said you get better customer service from a mom and pop shop than a corperation like Dunkin. Huge corperations lose site of good customer service.

Who is hiring the employees? What are they being paid? What are the working conditions like?

Customer service is going to be lacking if employees aren't happy. To simply blame it all on the employees sounds like a cop-out.

Speaking from experience, I know this for a fact: you are only as good as your employees.

Share in the wealth since they make it happen! A job should be enjoyable.--since you give your life to it!

I worked 11 years in the retail industry. It is even more important to make your employees happy since the customers sure as heck won't.

    Here's how they do it:

    May 29, 2012 at 11:24 am

    "91-year-old WWII veteran Bill Internicola
Bill Internicola is a 91-year-old, Brooklyn-born, World War II veteran. He fought in the Battle of the Buldge and received the Bronze Star for bravery. He’s voted in Florida for 14 years and never had a problem.

Three weeks ago, Bill received a letter from Broward County Florida stating “[Y]ou are not a U.S. Citizen” and therefore, ineligible to vote. He was given the option of requesting “a hearing with the Supervisor of Elections, for the purpose of providing proof that you are a United States citizens” or forfeit his right to vote.

This decorated World War II veteran is just one of hundreds of fully eligible U.S. citizens being targeted by Governor Scott’s massive voter purge just prior to this year’s election."

    Sorcerers.

Using Big gvt....a hearing? to prove he's a citizen? And how long will that take to get a hearing...after the election?
