thrown to the dogs the almighty gop killing the unemployment bill

I hope you are happy.

well congratulations all you tea-baggers,I wonder how many of you are on unemployment?I wonder how you felt when the GOP killed the unemployment bill this week?On July the fourth we will have one point two million people out of work and with nothing coming in.How many of those folks do you think are republican? How many of those "lazy" people "who will only buy drugs or booze" do you think will be able to find a job in a jobless economy.Get ready for a explosion of crime, thanks to the party of no."Lets take our country back!" Damn fools we took our country back with the election of the democrats. But you tea-bagging dummies are so blind and so damn gullible that you allow the GOP to manipulate you by spreading lies and hate.So ironic that you would support the party of the rich, the party of the one percent, who smile in your face shake your hands kiss your babies get your votes, and then turn around and screw you like a twenty dollar whore.Dirty politicians who knocked this country down to its knees with their policies and you clowns turn right around and vote for them again. And after they get that vote they pat you on the back smile and spit in your face.whats the fall out of last weeks vote?People scrambling around trying to find a job can't find one because the jobs are overseas or Mexicans got them or you don't have the education to get them,so you have to go back to school to even have a chance of finding a job.Rich and powerful people who grew up with money trying to tell the average Joe to get a job.well get ready for tent city to be reborn to expand and become tent nation.that goes out to all the unemployed republicans. While you are eating beside democrats in the soup kitchen and trying to get food stamps and moving into homeless shelters then and only then will you realize that you have been played like fools.

On this particular issue I happen to agree that the republicans are barking up the wrong tree. My take is basically that the people who are on the unemployment rolls are there because they HAD JOBS before they were unemployed. Amazing concept, I know. Therefore, they are hard working American people who are simply out of work, largely not by their own design. They are the tax payers who paid into the system that allows for unemployment benefits. They are the tax payers who paid for the big bank bailouts. They are the tax payers who paid for cash for clunkers, and first time homebuyers credits—both very misguided and very misdirected tax break mind you, but that's for another day. They will also be the tax payers who will wind up paying the taxes once they do get back to work for years to come on all of the wild spending thanks to the dems.

I agree the republicans have it wrong on this issue. I also do not think we can get out of this mess WITH democratic economic policy.

In any event, I don't think leaving the unemployed worker in the dust is the answer to saving a few bucks.

We are the ones who pay the senate republicans, they have forgotten about that, they cut off benefits and hurl insults at millions of american citizens for being unemployed and they turn right around and go on vacation.Vacation that is paid for by US!I'm starting a movement of my own its called THE WIPEOUT PARTY.We just come togethor as one and vote out every single incumbent period.A complete clean slate.REPUBLICANS and DEMOCRATS.VOTE every last one of them out of office and keep them out.

Our only hope is that the new people we replace them with aren't going to be of the same mindset as the ones we oust.

That is a problem. But I think if we all came togethor and totally cleaned house all the way across the board Republicans and Democrats replace every last one of them. The New guys in office will act a lot better and they will listen when the average man speaks because they will know that they are facing a unified country.

bill yon - I am sick of the vilification of the poor and unemployed. I've often heard certain radio hosts referring to the victims of our screwed up economy as bums and moochers. In general, it seems like a lot of Americans feel that it's okay to make nasty comments about people who are in trouble (including people who get sick). I think that those kind of people are creating a kind of charm for themselves - if they are perfect and do everything right, nothing bad will ever happen to them.

It is easy to look down upon someone when you have never walked in their shoes and you don't really know what it means to work hard for your money.I just wish people could get over the hate and designed distractions and look at what is really going on.

Are you a burnt our hippie or someone too young to remember the sixties and just think it is cool to spout this dribble. Think you sound enlightened because you scream about class warfare? Come on over to the reality side. Increasing taxes is robbery. What this country needs is jobs, not handouts. The money I make is mine, not the governments, and it doesn't belong to someone else. It is mine to take care of my family as I see fit. You can not spend your way out of recession. Reagan proved that cutting taxes promotes growth. What were you doing when Reagan was President?

I would further love to ask you how the GOP has blocked anything? What math did you study? The GOP has not had the ability to block or vote down anything. The Democrats held the majority in the House and the Senate (until last night :) ), so if anyone stopped the bill it would have had to have been the Democrats that are distancing themselves from Pelosi, Reid and Obama in order to hang on to their jobs.

I am to young to remember the sixties, I was born in the seventies. Are you to young to remember the last administration? Are you to young to remember their policies? The same policies that have put us in this recession? Have you ever heard of a fillibuster? Do you know what that means? How do you feel about privatized social security? How do you feel about privatized VA? You are a victim of lies spread to destroy certain people by the one percent. Your republican party is for sale. How much money do you have? You just might have enough to buy a couple of tea party congressmen. Are you really a veteran? I'm a vet as well for that I give you respect, but the nonsense you are spitting is bad for America in the long run, like I said before your republican tea-party whatever is for sale.Ever thing they pass or do not pass will be at a direct request from the rich 1% of this country. But that is the way you want it....you voted for it so congrats on participating in the fleeceing of America.

I remember the sixties, seventies and beyond, yes I remember the last administration. The one that gave us steady job and economic growth until the Dems took over in 2006. I am not a supporter of Bush's economic policy. Yes, he started this mess, but the Dems in control compounded it. I think social security would run very well privatized. The Congress has robbed it to the point it is broke.

Everything they pass is not a request from the rich 1%. The Democratic controlled congress is the one that shoved Health Care reform down our throats. It took more than 1% of the people Tuesday night to say no more tax increases (including those on the rich). Taxation in recession is like suicide.

I am by no means rich. Hell, I am unemployed thanks to the attempts to spend us out of a recession. Do I feel the rich have to pay additional taxes? Hell no, it is their money. They are the ones that create the jobs and growth. If you tax the schit out of them, they will go somewhere else (and the jobs we could have). It is their money, just as my money is mine, it is not the governments. If you truly are a veteran, then you should know what a nightmare government run health care is. Privatize the VA? That's a pretty good idea too. I have a useless shoulder and elbow now, all the government has worried about is not my shoulder or elbow, they gave me a big Army hug and asked if I wanted to hurt myself or anybody else.

If you want to ask if I know about fillibuster, yes. I study political science. Yes, I have seen Mr. Smith goes to Washington, numerous times. Is the Republican Party the party of No? Not enough, this last two years. No is the only option, there is no room for compromise when it comes to progressive reforms, communism, state socialism, Marxism, socialism, or whatever the chic name of it people want to give it. It has been tried in other countries that no longer exist; it has never succeeded before.

Do you know why the Democratic Party is not for sell? It was already bought by George Soros (oh yeah, he is rich)and he is not about to relinquish control.

So I guess you think that is O.K. that everyone in the country pays taxes, except the rich? The bush tax cuts cost the american taxpayer 700 billion dollars a year, that is how we went from a balanced budget to a recession in eight years.I geuss you are O.K. with the continuation of those policies. The republicans are liars and manipulators spinning their mojo through fox news congrats on your victory last week you have locked this country into political gridlock.I hope you have a very good idea because job creation is dead now.The health care bill is supported by the majority of americans including republicans but you would not know that because you do not look at facts. The republicans are slaves to corporate america they started nafta and globilisation the real killer of our economy but of course you do not want to talk about that. The only agenda they have is to make sure that President Obama fails they are not even concerned with moving america out of this recession. In two years Sarah Palin will be the republican candidate for president a woman who could not even govern the state of alaska. The funny thing is she just might win.God help us all.You are so polarized about the damage that has been done to America that you cannot see that Your party is the one that put us in this mess.Go right ahead and continue believing the lies that fox news shoves down your throat. And try your best to get rich before you retire because the republicans are trying to get rid of social security and medicare but you don't believe that because you are a blind supporter who votes out of anger instead of using your mind to make an intelligent decision.

WTF? The bottom 40% do NOT even pay any taxes. WTF are you talking about? BTW, how does a tax cut cost a tax payer? OH, wait, you mean it cost the over reaching government 700 billion.

So you know who the Republican nominee is already? I guess you have a crystal ball. Is it the same crystal ball you looked into that told you Rand Paul denies people their civil rights? Or did you look in it to see the majority that is for Obamacare? If so, I hope you didn't pay good money for it. Is so, you got screwed. Oh, maybe that was that same majority of the poor that pay all the taxes! Go on keep drinking Al Gore's, George Soro's and Obama's Kool-Aid.

bill yon profile image

bill yon 5 years ago from sourcewall Author

Rand Paul is trying to stop the enforcing of the civil rights laws. That is a fact. Do some research and you will see that this is true, He said it out of his own mouth. Sarah Palin has thrown her hat in for the republican nominee of 2012 words out of her own mouth. Do some research. The majority of Americans supports "ObamaCare" source USA Today last week. I would rather continue to drink Al gore's kool-aid ,then to continue to smell bush's $#!! and sucking on Fox news !@#$ wipe your mouth off because you appear to have a "milk" mustache.

jtcarr1164 profile image

And you apparently did not listen to what Rand Paul said about the Civil rights laws. Sarah Palin has NOT thrown her hat in the ring (I hope she does just to piss you off) and 61% of the U.S. want Obamacare repealed or changed. That is not a statistic in favor of Obamacare. You seem to have alot of rage, is that the way to conduct an intelligent conversation? I don't think so.

Just like most libtards, you have thrown in irrelevant issues just to spew hate (no one has said anything about Fox News or support of George W. Bush except you). If I were a less civil person, I would offer to come over wherever you are (your Mom's basement i suppose) and kick your Al Gore-loving ass! Good thing I am more civil than that.

I am thinking you should do the research. Rand Paul only suggested that the Civil Rights Act overstretched its Constitutionality by telling businesses who they can and cannot hire. You obviously don't listen when a conservative or a libertarian talk, so how did you get that Sarah Palin has announced her candidacy? Are you a News Agency? If so, you need to print that article as you have exclusivity to that news! USA Today? Really?! Do you get the rest of your political news from Yahoo?

As far as appearances, you only show how libtarded you are when you go shouting about George Bush's $#!! and sucking Fox New's !@#$. No one even mentioned those things, you just took them as an assumption. You know what they say about assumption (well, you probably don't or you would scream and cry someone violated your civil rights). Of course, anyone who would rather drink Al Gore/Ted Kaczynski (i get the two mixed up; they sound the same) Kool-Aid, just reeks of credibility. Way to go, Buddy!

The latest USA Today article I could find online states that only 30% approve of Obamacare, while 40% disapprove, and another 30% are neutral.

I guess if you mean the majority of American's support the repeal, you would be correct. It's like you missed a word there when you were reading the article.

I guess you have never read Al Gore's book. Or the Unibomber's writings for that matter. I can plainly see that you always read out of context. So yes, this conversation is now over.

Not sure where Mr. Yon is getting his sources, but he clearly has more issues the the National Geographic!

I looked up your source Mr. Yon, the one you quoted and it stated: 30% of people approve of Obamacare, 40% do no approve and 30% are neutral, however Republicans do not feel that reworking Obamacare is necessarily the answer. USA TODAY article, 9-25-10, now I ask you which USA Today article are you quoting because the most recent one still has only 30% approval rating... wait that's right you do that liberal math you know where a super majority for the Democrats means it is still the Republican's problem when something doesn't get passed. I forgot, so I guess in your liberal Universe 30% of the population would be a majority and therefore in your liberal Universe 30% means the majority of American's are for Obama care... gotta hate this new math.

The problem here is that you do not know shit from shinola. Just for a couple examples:

You wrote: "everyone in the country pays taxes, except the rich?"

What an asinine statement. Everyone does not pay income tax. Only half of Americans do. And the so-called rich pay 74 percent of ALL taxes while you say they pay NONE.

You asked: "how we went from a balanced budget to a recession"

Well, let's see smartypants. What year did the recession start? Who controls the money? Who controls spending? What year did the Democrats take control of Congress?

You wrote: "The republicans are slaves to corporate america"

Do you not know buttwipe that corporate America gave 56% of its campaign contributions to Democrats in the 2008 election?

You wrote: "It is easy to look down upon someone when you have never walked in their shoes and you don't really know what it means to work hard for your money."

That might be true but who in the hell are you referring to? I am poor. I have worked hard for everything I have ever had. I think the vast majority of all people have but they still don't fall for the childlike beliefs of Marxists.

You wrote that Republicans are "the party of the rich, the party of the one percent"

Are you that stupid? Do you not know that the 1 percent gave twice the money to Obama as they did to McCain?

You said: "I just wish people could get over the hate"

Look in the mirror buddy. Your diatribe here and your comments are the most hateful words I have seen on HubPages all year.

If you think these two parties care a bit about the middle class or below, you have got to be kidding me. Come election time they will throw some free bread out there and get right back to favouring the things that earn them and there true agendas more money.

Yeah the rich rule. To hell with the other 99% of people in this country.
