Amber is a twenty-something high school English teacher living and working in the Boston area. She is passionate about grammar, etiquette, and dystopian literature. Despite this, she is actually pretty fun to be around.
Though a hodgepodge of interests and hobbies, Amber spends much of her free time watching television and wasting time on the internet. Though it pains her greatly to be swept up in mainstream trends, she has great affinity for shows like Lost, CSI, and House. Thankfully, she is redeemed by her intimate knowledge of Arrested Development and early 90s cartoons. Life, as they say, is like a hurricane. Here in Duckburg.
Amber is filled with dread at the thought of having to go to grad school, but knows that Massachusetts will get mad at her if she keeps teaching without doing so. She hopes that her post-college passion for reading will be broad enough to cover education text books and poorly-photocopied articles about No Child Left Behind and Per Pupil Expenditures.
While Amber would certainly enjoy wild financial and social success on HubPages, she only expects and hopes to provide some advice and a few laughs for people who are bored at work or have internet insomnia. She encourages readers to ask questions and suggest topics, and gladly accepts grammar-related corrections. She even does a pretty sweet job at helping students write and edit papers.
