Ana Louis on HubPages

I am a southern baby boomer from Louisiana.  I discovered the magic of writing in Englilsh class, when I was sixteen.  I have been in love with it ever since. 

My plan was to attend college and pursue a degree in Journalism, but a family crises derailed my dream.  I married instead.  Over the years I tried on different occupations.  None of them was a perfect fit. I did learn a great many things and enjoyed most of the positions I undertook.  I consider myself well-rounded (in more ways than one), and  professionally eclectic with  a fondness for investigation. 

All that I know about writing, I have learned as an avid reader, and taking creative writing classes when possible.  I have journaled forever, write poetry, and occasonally work on a couple of novels I intend to finish someday.  In the meantime life happens and I am always to the rescue - much to the dismay of my husband.

I am interested in almost everything, however reading, writing, photography, science, spirituality, philosophy, and helping others, are the things that really capture my attention...and time.

I am the mother of five, and the grandmother of seven... and I still have my mind.  I'm just not always sure where I've put it. 

I may not contribute to HubPages as often as I would like, but when I do, I hope my offerings will be recieved with forgiveness, a little constructive criticism, and enjoyment.  

I am awed by all of the hubs I read.  What a great place.  I am so happy to be here.
