When designing/purchasing hotel furnishings for 7 yrs, my mentor insisted we weren't purchasing agents because all they did was follow the designers and create a price war with suppliers - both charging way too much for their tiny contributions. Following Andy Baker's accurate information with both design and reason, you can diminish the need for anyone else and save HUGE amounts of money!
