Why "AUNTIE M"

Well first I am an aunt and my name does begin with the letter "M".. Some time back my niece and nephews were of age to begin to enjoy our Thanksgiving favorite movie "The Wizard of OZ". Now if you are familiar with the story, you are aware that Dorothy's aunt is called "Auntie M". They all giggled and from that moment I was labled their "Auntie M".

Thank goodness she was a sweet, caring, loving personallity.Putting aside that she was quite a bit older, I relish on her positive qualities. Heck if you think about it , I could have been worse. I could have been the wicked witch.

Always had diversified interests, but it seemed that more often they leaned toward the arts, travel, food, and home decor.

My favorite location is beach and mountain lake communities close enough to active funfilled small towns and village activities. Places like Paris( no small town) but divided into sections( neighborhoods) that are quaint. Lake Como village in Northern Italy, San Remo ,and Genoa, Italy are just some picturesque, fun and lively spots. There is not much not to ike in NYC because of its diverseification, shopping, and theater, but to be perfectly honest, I may not be sure I want to trust the health departments attempt in keeeping up with their inspections of the restuarant industry, so I cross over the border into Jersey where I found there to be more controls.

The photo I chose is a snap shot my 10 year old nephew took. I wanted to share it because it reminded me of the artist Georgia O'Keefe work.
