A QUICK NOTE ABOUT AuthorsBook™: AuthorsBook was not intended as my name although that's the way it turned out on my Hub. AuthorsBook is the outgrowth of taking the hard knocks of getting my first book, businessplan.com, published and learning the mandatory art for how to develop an author’s platform. Some 20 years in business technology, another 10 years in publishing and the last two coalescing traditional and digital book promotions, AuthorsBook emerged as an insider’s training tool to help readers along their way. 

My name is Lynn Manning Ross and I cut my business teeth as the token female management consultant in a Los Angeles firm bulging with government contracts.  Growing up in an entrepreneurial family led me in 1985 to establish my own practice.   During my consulting career, I've worked with nearly 800 clients worldwide, written over 200 successfully funded business plans and authored a number of books since businessplan.com. 

In 2004, I founded Smart Site®, a publishing, consulting, training and eBook conversion house.  Smart Site® is one of a handful of companies recommended by Mobipocket, an Amazon company.

Early on, I began writing how-to manage magazine articles and a business column called BusinessLine for a mid-coast California newspaper. BusinessLine became the first uncensored western how-to management column to appear in Press Liegtp, Moscow, Russia. 

As a trainer, I've developed and taught management and business programs for UCLA, Cal State, Supercomputer Center and World Trade Association, U.S. SBA, and other U.S. government agencies, Moscow State University, Moscow, and the International Management School, Warsaw University, Poland.
