Captain Dad on HubPages

Don't be fooled by the name.  I get seasick.

The name came from my youngest son, who on his first hike with me when he was 4, proclaimed, "Lead the way, Captain Dad!" It came out of nowhere and I liked it.

A marketing executive by trade, I enjoy writing and do so on a variety of topics, from politics to culture to the environment, my wife, my kids, and the conversations I have with my neurotic dog.

If you like short stories, please check my website at www.PaulCwalina.com

I am a 45 year-old father of four and stepfather of two living in northeastern PA --- near the Poconos --- and a Beethoven and Hemingway aficionado.

One thing I know for sure is that life is better during baseball season.

I really like your eclectic collection of hubs and appreciate your Jack Kemp page. You are so correct about getting back to supply side but the party does not seem to have a center-right that lights up the voters. Tough times ahead and after 8 years of the Obamanomics our grand children will wonder what "private enterprise" means.

I love what you bring to hubpages, Capt. Dad! Your first slew of hubs are quite well written and organized. As has already been said in the forums, more pictures/video will certainly help your hubs. Other than that, it's great to see you off to such a great start.

Welcome!
