I have been creating effective website solutions for small businesses with my husband Jim since 1999. Our website design firm, efocus, has grown as a result of meeting our clients' needs on an ongoing basis.

I grew up in the family printing business and was already working summers in the bindery when I was 13. After getting married, I rejoined the family business and gained a lot of experience over the years in the challenges facing small businesses.

This background gives me a better perspective on my clients' needs. It is also very useful when combined with my expertise in website design and Internet marketing. This enables me to suggest web solutions to problems that my clients may not think a website could address.

Although strategizing with clients to get the most out of their websites is my main passion, I do have other interests. The most important are my husband and our two children who have grown up to be such wonderful people. (Yes, I know, I'm a little biased!)

Jim and I work side by side in efocus. He also founded and manages Free Rental Finder. It started as just a website where renters and property managers could meet. It was so popular that we had to make it into a separate business.

My son, Brian, was stationed in Okinawa, Japan while he was in the Marines. After getting out, he married a sweet Japanese woman named Shoko. They live in Okinawa and are expecting their first child soon.

Our daughter, Kelsey, is just finishing her last year in college as an art major. She's planning on managing an Internet business selling lucky bamboo for her grandparents when she graduates.

I also like to quilt, knit, garden, and go for naure walks. I look forward to being a grandma but regret we're so far apart. Thank goodness for web cams and Skype!
