I am a stay at home mom who enjoys her family, cooking, reading, my faith, friends, and now writing on the internet.
My husband asked me why I chose the name 'Cheapside". Well, it's not something that is meant to be taken negatively. I am a huge fan of Jane Austen books and Victorian things in general and I love the part in Pride and Prejudice when Bingley's sisters are talking about Jane and Elizabeth's uncle who is 'in trade in Cheapside'. To me it is an indication that I am of the class who must work for a living, not financially well off let alone'independant'. Mr Darcy would I'm sure be inclined to look down on us, at least until he got to know us better! ;-)
I am excited about eventually supplementing and/or making a living online. I am in the process of creating my own website called the Tea Party Guide. You can follow my progress by checking out my blogs on blogspot. I will update once in a while to let all know about my sucesses and my pitfalls.
I have also created a Squidoo Lens, about hostessing a Book Club Tea Party. Feel free to contact me through Squidoo or my website if you have any questions about hosting a tea party of your own.
