I have been privileged by having Dogs all my life. I grew up in Idaho, was graced with a father that worked for the Forest Service. So we spent every summer of my growing up years in the grand mountains of Idaho till I went to college at Boise State University. Then I met a Texan that was in the Coast Guard and was graced with living in some of our great States on the oceans and seas. What a blessed life I have had. And now we are trying to decide if we are ready to bring another Dog into our lives. I would like to pass on some of the joys of life to my grandchildren of having a Dog. We are thinking of having a Beagle again, I realize we won't have the same Dog we had before, but you would be surprised at what personality develops when you pour in a lot of love and attention mixed with training. A Dog just adds something that you can not get from another creature. If you have never had one you will never know what it is.
