Dunn Eggink on HubPages
Born in northern California into an artistic/gypsie christian family on a mission to spread the gospel, raised in Manhattan and Woodstock, NY, Dunn Eggink has lived a very unique and awkwardly fantastic life. His father was a beatnic intellectual who traveled the world hanging out with celebrities, aristorcrats and pseudo-spies, a native of San Francisco and part of the Haight Ashbury inner circle of pot dealers and concert promoters. In the early seventies Jesus came into the life of Dunn's Father and mother, who met in a christian counterculture commune. Growing up in the Eggink family, with rarely enough money to buy new clothes, Dunn never had the experience of deciding what college to go to or what exotic places to visit. But his family's faith in God and the example of Jesus' missionary lifestyle was the shining light on a series of phenomenal adventures, of which no logical reasoning could explain the meaning.
Dunn inherited his parents' "live free or ...." philosophy, a high esteem for Native American wisdom and obsession with the wonders of Biblical knowledge and understanding. He is a self-motivated scholor and writer, and a visionary idealist who reads between the lines in his studies of history, sociology, psychology and science.
