By nature I am a nonconformist. My passions are children & family issues, animals, great & small, and white doves hold a special place in my heart.. Oh, and doesn't every family have a bad boy? ..ours is a 14 year-old starling. Though not a member of any specific groups, I support various child welfare, animal welfare, and environmental issues. I've been married once.. and into year 46 now, raised three children, and try to be there for my eight grandchildren.

I was interested to read about childhood over the years. As a fifties child I have some great memories but all was not rosy, all of tht ime. I guess it is partially relative. Our child's persona makes us look at life differently.
