These are the things that made me who I am today:
I grew up outside Boston and moved to NYC at the age of 17 for college. I am a Pilipino-American with an appreciation for great food and talent. I became a full-fledged teacher in the New York City public school system at the age of 21, going straight from my one-armed bandit to the head of the class. Since I enjoy reading and writing to a positively dorky degree, I am an English teacher. I'm an idealist wanting to save a far-from-ideal world, one challenging mind at a time. This mission has become so overwhelming, so all-consuming that the other loves in my life - writing, making music, cooking, relationships - have all fallen to the wayside for the time being. I have resolved to actively seek my own happiness in 2008. In this hub, I am exploring that resolution.
