J. A. Corey on HubPages

I believe everyone with an inkling (no pun intended, but definitely appreciated...) should be producing their own art, without a moment's hesitation. But it can be an intimidating prospect. Half the battle is design. The larger half is knowing your materials -- how they're handled or even what you should shop for to begin. Here's a cliff notes to some basic processes, from printmaking to oil painting to sculpture. I've just started posting on this page, so please add yourself as a fan and check back daily for new hubs. I will be vigilgant!

J. A. Corey has been a Maine native all her life and, true to category, finds pleasure in the small, local, and investigatory. She has been writing academically and professionally since she could hold food (at which point she could also hold a pen). And before she could write phonetically, she just drew. She holds an BA in English and Art, currently working in a fine art supply store and publishing freelance. She will be starting her MA in English at Oxford this summer. When she is not responding to Hub fan inquiries, she enjoys hiking, exploring the woods, and general acts of daring-do.

I'm happy to field specific art questions or comments. It's what I do professionally, and I have a great team of cognoscenti where I work with tons of personal experience in all fields. So if I, myself, don't know, I will find out without making something up. Don't hesitate to write for advice or with suggestions for hubs.
