I am trying to learn French..but am slow in training my mind.  I had opportunity to travel to Paris in 2006 after visting London,  and fell in love with the French people, culture everything.  I remember asking a Frenchmen if it was true that they hated Americans to which he replied with a smile, "But of course!"  I told him that I loved the French and they would love me.  He laughed and told me, "Why not?"  I learned then that a lot was the result of bad experience and misconception.  I have expanded my love of global culture since, but always hold in my heart a special passion for France....Oh, and the UK.
