Hi!  My name is Katie.  I have been blessed to have been born and raised in the South.  I am married to the most wonderful man in my life - I love you, Darlin'.  And together we have been blessed with two very vibrant children. Our life isn't ideal, but it is packed full of joy, happiness, and support.

I went to a private christian school.  It was very difficult to take in all that religion for all those years, but in so many ways I have benefitted not only from the unique perspective and more personal education but also from the environment.  I went for one semester to college not having any idea what I wanted to do and not really being all that interested in going back to school either.  At the same time I worked as a stable hand at a local stable.  That has got to have been the most fun "job" I have EVER had! It was during this time that my husband and I met.  We haven't been able to get away from one another ever since! :)

When we moved to Tn, I finally went back to school knowing what I wanted to do.  I was at the end of my first semester toward an Associates Degree for Commercial Digital Photography, when my husband came to me and told me that we were moving!  I was devastated and angry.  Once I moved past those feelings, I was able to get excited about the new opportunities this move would make available to me.  I would be closer to high school friends, closer to both of our families, and I would have the chance at a job I had been highly interested in for a year and a half!

I got that great job and have been there for nearly a year, now.  Unfortunately, the owners haven't been doing so great and I'm facing the reality of being laid off sometime in the near future.  This situation has got me looking very closely at the local colleges.  I may be returning, again, this time for an Associates in Business, which I believe will be particularly helpful to me when I am ready to begin my career in photography.

I have a wide range of interests!  Some of the topics that really rev me up are religion (which I have to keep on a tight leash), community enrichment, cooking, creating, organizing, photography, my family and friends, work.  So these are the things that I will be writting about, mostly.

I am looking forward to meeting everyone, making new friends, sharing my insight, and stretching my mind by reading your thoughts and opinions!  Thank you for stopping by.
