71 years old and reclusive, I live off the electrical grid with my wife Wanda (pictured) and the world's greatest six dogs.

Born in Marion, Indiana and spent most of my childhood in Jay County Indiana, living on farms first at Pennville and then at Redkey.

People are either impressed or irritated when I tell them I graduated in the top ten of my Redkey high school class, which is true.  They are neither, however, when they learn my class consisted of a mere 16 students.  I came in 9th.

Have earned a living as a computer programmer, an accountant, an auditor, and a fraud analyst.

In the late 60s and early 70s my passion was flying. Mostly as a hobby, as an airplane and instrument flight instructor with a commercial pilot license including single engine, multi-engine, instrument and glider ratings, I lived and talked flying almost every free moment.

I have ambitions to take up acrobatic flying but the chances are it will remain just a dream all the way to my urn.

I served in the US Navy four years during the late 1950s as an aviation electronic technician. My most interesting assignment was working as an electronic countermeasure operator during missions over and around the Black Sea gathering information from Soviet Union launches.

I'm a dyed-in-the-wool republican with extreme conservative values who advocates rugged individualism.  I have abhorred our socialistic movement since I first realized what's happening.  It's good I'm 71 years old and not 21 or 31 or 41 or 51 or 61.

Still, I have enjoyed my journey to the fullest for the last few years.  People who know me will, I think, tell you I'm worry free.  I'm not but, because I go around all day laughing and talking, they think so.  Perhaps partly because I try to have a new joke every day.  Just to get a laugh, I tell people I'm hanging around waiting to die.

Hobbies? Living on the internet, watching television news and small-time writing.

When my ball and chain (wife) "encourages" me, I'll work around the house.
